17 Weeks

Ruby had her first trip to the beach this week. It was cold and rainy, but we still had lots of fun. We stayed the night in Gearhart and went to Astoria for the evening. Ruby didn't like the wind on the beach at all, so we only walked there once and didn't stay very long. She's such a Peach.
Ruby and her friend Sarah from my mom's group.
On Saturday we went up to my friend Cassie's birthday party and Ruby got to wear a birthday hat. I also bought her some 9 month clothes which fit great at 4 months!
 Sweet girl.
She gets lots and lots of kisses from Mommy.

 She loves Daddy's beard.
All bundled up at the beach.
 So cute in her hoodie.
She's kicking a lot and acting like she will roll over soon.
She loves those hands.

16 Weeks

I'm a day late again... oops! I'll get back on track next week. We had my first Mother's Day this weekend! It was great. Andy and Ruby got me a cool bike and we worked in the garden. It was a lovely day. We saw both sets of Grandparents this week too. Ruby loves to see them! She's so good at grabbing things now. She figured out her little bird that's attached to her carseat. She pulls it down and lets go, then it vibrates back up. So cute. She loves her toys and loves to watch the dogs play. She's so sweet and really loves smiling and laughing at people. She's been drooling a ton, so a bib is almost always necessary.
Afternoon trip to the park with the dogs.

We had some friends down on Saturday evening, and they have a 6 month old boy named Elijah. They were so interested in each other! It was so cute.

 Happy girl.
 Mother's Day :)
I'm teaching her about cooking already.
 She loves this ball!
 My Mother's Day present.
I put my ring on her finger and she was so interested in it.
 Sweet smile.
I love this look.
 Such pretty blue/gray eyes.

15 Weeks

I didn't post yesterday because our house got broken into! Only a few tools were stolen, but Ruby and I were napping when I saw the guy knocking on our back door. I called Andy and then 911, and the guy ran off. It was pretty scary. But we're all okay, the Lord protected us.

So as for an update on Ruby... she's getting so good at grabbing things with her hands! She also loves babbling and talking. It's adorable. She slept almost through the night last night, so that was nice. She's a charmer and really loves people. She also loves standing up. We love her so much!

Playing with her toys

Annabelle wants to be on the quilt too.

Chewing on her giraffe.

All cute and warm in her sleep sack.

First art project.

This is her waking up. She likes to rub her face. So cute.

14 Weeks

Today is my first official day as a stay at home mom! I've been working the past two weeks, and it's so nice to be done. Ruby was sleeping through the night since about 9 weeks, but just these past two weeks has started waking up again a few times. That made for a tired mama, but we survived. Now I can take naps. :) A huge thanks goes out to our moms and Kristen for hanging out with Ruby while I was at work. Such a blessing. She had lots of fun!

On Tuesday night I had just fed Ruby and was taking her to give Andy a kiss before putting her to bed. He leaned over and she spit up a bunch of milk straight into his mouth! Poor daddy. It was pretty funny. I said it was his official initiation into fatherhood.
Ruby going on her first ride in her big girl stroller.
We went to the donut shop down the street. Yum!
 Fascinated by her hanging toys.
 She'll be rolling over soon!
 Looking at the dogs.

She has been drooling  a lot, so she wears lots of bibs. She has started chewing on things too. Teeth coming soon maybe??
 Completely enthralled at my ring.
So cute. Hanging out with her blanket in her car seat.
She was talking up a storm this morning.

Sooo great!
