43 weeks: Snow!!

What a week. Poor Miles got a fever on Saturday through Monday, we have no idea why. It started super low and slowly rose over three days. Monday night he threw up in the middle of the night when I tried to give him Tylenol, then he woke up fine on Tuesday. I don't know if he was actually sick or it was his molars causing issues. So glad he's better. The rest of us have been super healthy for the last two months, since we started taking Elderberry syrup every morning. It has been a life saver! Miles is too little to have it since it has honey in it, so he has been the only one to get sick. I'm just glad cold and flu season is on the decline now.
Ruby came home from school and told me that she was Silas's girlfriend and Caleb's girlfriend. Ahhh! I asked her what that meant and she said that they just play together a lot. Silas lives on our street, but he doesn't seem like a super kind kid... It's tough not being able to be there all of the time with her. We talk a lot, pray a lot, and love her well.
We had snow on Tuesday so we played trains! Ruby went to school in the morning, but everyone got sent home at 10:30.
He's so cute and chubby. He's usually in clothes because it's cold, but he's so cute in his diaper.
 Reading her bible.
She has been writing the cutest notes and trying out different handwriting like I used to do. :)
We did a little photo shoot. Miles likes to say "oooo."
 Cutie pie.
 Such silly kids!
And then this is what happened to my sheet backdrop that I should definitely iron next time.
His top right molar is taking its time coming in, so we soaked wash cloths in chamomile tea and froze them for him to chew on.
 Gluey kabluey! They love it.
 Silly Reid
 Silly Ru
 Milk face
Ruby was practicing her name in cursive. I love the ones circled "best" and "worst". Haha!
Brothers watching a little show together.
They like to cut their bananas in the mornings. But Ruby recently decided she doesn't like bananas.
Ruby has been needing activities lately and gets bored often... so I created a "bored jar" like my mom made me a "bored basket" when I was little. The first one she drew was a tea party with Samantha. :)
 They had so much fun.
This is for Andy... she is so funny.
 Zzzzzzzzz
The boys and I went to get our car's tires aligned. Reid wore Andy's bathrobe string with his helicopter tied to it. Haha!
Ruby has a game at school called "Teach your monster to read" that they got to play on the computer for a little bit. They're getting so big!
 He LOVES the dishwasher.
 Playing doctor.
Ruby was just staring at herself in the mirror trying to make her tongue do funny things.
On Saturday we headed up to ride the tram! She's so pretty.
They loved it. Reid wanted to know all about how it worked.
We made some peanut butter cookies, and Reid snuck into the kitchen and took a bite of every one of them! Naughty boy. Reminds me of myself when I was little.
They had fun going through the Oriental Trading Co catalogue and circling things they would like, which was pretty much everything.
We taught Ruby's class on Sunday, and Reid has been going to the 4's class. It was fun to see him at singing time! He's pretty shy so he doesn't sing the words, or so he says.
That afternoon they decided to make a bridge with their mattress and had to stuff a bunch of things under it to hold it up... so they emptied
Dance party!! We have a lot of those.
He thought his legs were interesting, since they're usually in pants.
 I love the chub.
Reid fell asleep so Ruby gave him his blue bear.
Ruby had her first neighborhood play date. Maya from down the street is in first grade, and she likes to play with Ruby. So they built a cute little snow man.

42 Weeks: Valentine's Day

We had a fun week! My parents came for two overnights on their way to and from Nebraska, which was so fun! The kids love it when they come and play with them. :) And they're a big help for me too.

Miles is getting molars, so it has been rough, poor guy. Hopefully they will come in without too much pain. He has been getting everywhere and into everything lately. He reminds me of a little Ruby, which does not bode well. She was a busy, busy baby/toddler and still is! It's exhausting to say the least. He's quick and loves putting everything into his mouth.
Reid and I have fun together. We built this train track all the way from his bedroom to the living room. Miles loved watching, although when he's down on the floor he crawls around and pulls it apart to chew on.
I was grinding coffee and Reid was fascinated but it was a bit loud.
My parents got Ruby out the door to school and played with the boys on Valentine's Day while Andy and I went out to this delicious breakfast. <3 It was so lovely, we had a great time.
Reid has put together this puzzle all by himself several times!
We made a maze for Miles to crawl through, which was so fun.
Our evening date... a glass of wine and chatting on the couch...
...and we got a Date Box which had a spa kit. We had way too much fun doing these cucumber masks. Haha!! The kids saw this picture the next morning and were kind of freaked out.
He's standing really well with one hand holding on. He's not quite cruising yet, but he will be soon I'm sure.
Both of our big kids love to help me cook. Apparently Ruby gave Reid this blue dress when she got her red one for her birthday, so he has been wearing it to dance around the living room. Haha!

Reading to our friend Flint at our home community we go to on Friday nights.
 Oh Reid...
Reading the Bible story book to Miles.
Ruby made this dragon head for Chinese New Years at school. It's so pretty!
We had fun doing Star Wars Madlibs at lunch! The kids thought it was hilarious, especially when we put "poop" as the noun.
We got a little bit of snow on Sunday morning! I wasn't sure we were going to get any this year.
My parents went to church with us and then had to head down south. So we stopped in at City Liquidators to look around for a while. They sure are cute.
Family Clue, boys vs. girls. Ruby and I won. :)
 They built an epic fort.
And then another one the next morning. Ruby didn't have school on Monday so we had a pajama/fort morning.
 In China, of course.
And then we made stamps out of corks and toilet paper tubes.
Then she got dressed and Andy took her to work with him for a few hours.
Here's her setup at the train car. She brought lots to do.
Meanwhile, the boys and I bundled up and went for a walk.
"Look Mom, I'm in the tree!"
 He likes sticks a lot.
 Drawing time before bed.
 And of course, massage time.
