Halloween!

For the week of 10/29-11/4

We had such a fun Halloween! I was in charge of Ruby's class party, which was a blast. And we had a great week too. :)
Miles made this Mr. Potato Head.
Reading together on Ruby's bed. <3
 How Miles eats pears.
Miles loves helping return cans at Costco.
Ruby figured out that standing broom trick thing, then like 2 months later everyone was saying that it was only on a special day that all brooms would stand up. Hahaha
 Wrestle time!
All ready for Halloween at school!
Ruby's last Halloween parade, they only do it through 2nd grade.
 And Reid's first one!
Crafts at the party. My room was in charge of food.
I snuck over and said hi to Reid at his party.
A lovely walk with Miles, black eye and all.
Good thing I made him an eye patch for his costume!
 Post nap snuggles.
 He loves climbing trees.
 Playing candy dump truck.
 All ready to trick-or-treat!
Our neighborhood kids all dressed up. They're all so cute.
Our neighbors are new to the area, so they came trick-or-treating with us.
 We had tons of fun!
The big kids would all run ahead, then Miles would waddle up in his pirate boat. Hahaha
Finally home. He kept stealing candy!
 We got tons and tons!
Friday morning the kids didn't have school, so we headed to McMenamins to swim in their soaking pool. Ruby got to bring the class stuffed animal Jerry the Japanese Spider Crab home for the weekend.
It was warm and sooooo fun!
Reid got inspired to make a paper turkey.
 Miles's 1/2 birthday!
The kids love to sing on our stage.
Unfortunately, the next morning Ruby woke up with a sore throat and a fever...
 She was so sick. :(
 Trying to stay busy.
Her throat hurt so bad and with her fever, I took her in to Urgent Care on Sunday. Sure enough, strep throat. She got on antibiotics right away.
 Cutie in Grandma's old glasses.
 Starting to feel better!
We brought the play kitchen out...
 Hahaha
Ruby's journal entry with Jerry for her class.
Reid went to school all by himself on Monday, so these guys got a nice morning bath...
...and reading time, pajama day, and lots of snuggles. <3

Usual happenings

For the week of 10/22-10/28

We had a pretty normal week, nothing out of the ordinary. Our kids sure are cute though, so here are some pictures. :)
H'es so photogenic.
He really looks like Andy here!
He looooooooooves berries of all kinds. I think blackberries are his favorite, good thing we picked tons this year and froze them.
Ruby and I read the 11th Hour together, and it was so fun. I did it as a kid, but I didn't remember who ate the feast! We loved figuring it out together.
Park day!
The kids all love to wrestle with Daddy. Andy finally figured out how to hold Reid down. Hah!
Miles loves to play "Bump in the bed."
They love to wrestle with each other too.
I got to hang out in Miles's classroom at MOPs. This is his bestie, Junie. They're so cute together! I think they just play together the whole time usually.
We started waking Miles up earlier from his nap so he'll go to bed better at night, but sometimes he just falls right back asleep. <3
I love that the kids' teachers send pics of them.
Passed Passport Club!
We took all of the kids in for flu shots on Saturday. They were all so brave.
Then that night the weather was amazing, so we went to play at the school.
The kids showed us what they usually do at recess.
Go Miles!
Ruby and Reid wanted to see the scary guys at Home Depot that Miles kept talking about.
I made the boys a car mat out of cardboard, and they love it!
Pretty Ruby all dressed up to go to her friend's Halloween Party.

Mom/Ruby trip

For the week of 10/15-10/21
Here's pics for way back in October!

In current news... Miles is sleeping terribly. He stays up late, wakes in the night, and then wakes up early, often going back to sleep in our bed. It's not my favorite, I've been so tired. He's also very cute and talking a TON, using big words and long sentences. I love it.

We got Ruby a big bed last weekend for her room, and Miles got her twin bed. No more cribs for us! We gave it to Joel and Dana to use for their new baby coming next month, so I'm excited about that.
Miles and I love to make trains while the big kids are at school.
Reid at his table at school.
Ruby and her reading buddy.
The boys made this fun tower!
Who's in there?
Mmmmmm
We got the kids' school pictures back.
They're so cute.
Andy got to come to Miles's last swimming lesson. <3 So I got to watch and take pictures.
They had so much fun!
Jump in time! He always would say "Small jump, not a big jump" meaning he didn't want to go under water. And we had to hang on to him when we put him up on the side, or he'd go running down the side of the pool. Silly boy.
Helping unpack the groceries...
Getting all ready for school! They're so big.
On Friday I went to school to help at the book fair.
I let both kids pick out a new book. :)
Then Andy, Miles, and I went on a Starbucks date.
I picked Ruby up early from school on Friday, and we drove down to Medford/Grenada for a girls weekend! First stop was Alera's birthday party at the Medford Family Fun Center. It was so fun!
Especially the go-karts.
Saturday morning we made bunches of pies.
Then the girls all headed down to Mt. Shasta for Ellie's bridal shower! Ruby, Lia, and Alera played outside for pretty much the whole time, even though it was pretty cold.
Ruby and the bride-to-be.
Meanwhile, back at home.....
Grandma gave Ruby this weaving loom and she made about 1,000 pot holders. Hah!
She and Grandpa made a corn maze!
Pretty girl ready to head back home. <3
