34 weeks!

We're getting so close to the end! I can't wait to meet this little baby and see who is in there. :) I'm getting so big and uncomfortable, but finally starting to feel better with my sickness. Still having low blood pressure, and low energy. But the low energy is to be expected in my third trimester.

Andy and I went to our birth class at Andaluz on Saturday. Our primary midwife, Megan, led it. It was really great and helpful for getting into birthing mode! I've been so busy that I haven't had as much time to prepare like I did especially for Ruby's birth. But I think I'm finally ready now. I'm really looking forward to the birth, it is such a cool time for Andy and I to connect, and such a cool experience as well.

I am a little nervous about how logistics are going to work with the kids and everything, as well as laboring in the car. But I'm sure it will all be great. We have a great birth team, and we're all ready to have a big party in there like we usually do! I think there are about 10 people who will be there, counting Andy and I, Patty and the kids, my mom, Cassie for taking photos, and three midwives. So we need one of the larger birthing rooms for sure!

I also went in for my 34 week appointment on Monday. Everything is looking really good. My diastasis makes it really cool for the midwives to feel the baby, and they all wanted a turn! Haha It is so fun to feel it in there wiggling around all the time.

Changes this week: Getting bigger and more uncomfortable by the day! But otherwise feeling okay. My hips hurt most nights.

Cravings this week: I'm getting a little tired of the Whole30, and Ruby and I are both craving some kind of dessert. :) It doesn't help that we've been watching the Great British Baking Show.

Sickness and Ruby's first lost tooth!

Reid has been in undies during non sleeping times all week and has only had a few accidents! He's actually starting to tell us when he has to go sometimes, especially poop. Which is great! He has been a breeze to potty train. :)

Ruby and I got hit with a terrible sickness this week. Hers started on Saturday with sneezing, and then a fever. It hung around until Sunday night when it finally broke. I think the highest it got was 102.9. Poor girl! Then she got a cough and is getting over it now. Her fever did come back on Wednesday morning until that night. When she has a fever, all she wants to do is lay on the couch. I was going to take her to the doctor on Thursday, but she was feeling better by then. For me, it started on Sunday night with sneezing and the fever. Those first few nights I slept horribly, with the body aches, fever, hip pain, stuffy nose, having to pee, etc. :( My fever finally broke on Wednesday, although it only got over 102 one time. Andy worked from home for most of the week and was able to help me out with lunch and nap, and some other stuff with the kids. That was a huge blessing. Poor guy, he had to make dinner, clean up the house, put the kids to bed, do the dishes, etc. I was out for the count! Then mine moved into my sinuses and is still there. Thankfully I haven't gotten the cough. I finally went to see the doctor yesterday, and he said it sounds like it's the flu. I'm glad we're finally feeling a little better! Poor Reid just had to stick around home all week.
I don't know if you can see the high heels in this one.... ;)
 Double Star Wars.
Reid and I went to the zoo on Friday while Ruby was at school, before we all got sick. We got to watch the sea otter feeding!
 Watching the seals swim.
We checked out the new Education Center.
And watched the baby turtles eat too!
 Playing doggy.
The new bathroom has tiny little kid potties. So cute! Reid loved using it.
They had some classrooms open with kids activities. Reid painted a "tree." Blue, of course.
And then we found some tractors working and he just wanted to watch them instead of seeing animals.
 Saturday morning snuggles.
Andy organized the garage and got down all of the baby stuff on Saturday, so the kids and I had fun in the house. We made fresh play dough, which is always a hit!
At nap time... with her fever.
Feeling a little better, so we played Monopoly Jr while Reid slept.
But then he got up and played with us! He made a great banker and liked handing us the right color when we needed it.
He was sitting in his room just reading this whole book.
Ruby slept on the floor in our room Saturday night so I could check on her. She was pretty sick. :(
Sunday morning breakfast helper. Needless to say, we had to stay home from church.
 Puzzle time!
 And back to the couch.
Reid was really sweet and was playing doctor.
By Sunday evening she was feeling a little better and wanted to color.
But then Mommy got sick. :(
She made a little place to lay down on their floor and did a puppet show for me.
Grandma Debbie did FaceTime with the kids on Monday morning and read the kids a story to occupy them for a little while.
 They made a cute picnic.
And the fever came back. She pretty much just wanted fruit while she was sick. We all stuck to our Whole30 though, which wasn't super easy.
And the big news... Ruby lost her first tooth!! It was super wiggly, and the roots were sticking out the bottom. Then she was on the couch and it just fell out! She was so excited.
All ready for her Tooth Fairy pillow. She knows it's us who play Tooth Fairy, but that's okay. :)
So cute! She got $1 and was so excited.
We got our first two baby gifts in the mail! This baby diaper backpack will be so great.
Sometimes they are so sweet with each other. :)

33 weeks

Here's the best shot I got today... I have been so sick. :( Ruby brought home a nasty fever/cough from her preschool, and I started getting it on Sunday night. It started as a 3 day fever for me, then migrated to my sinuses, totally clogging them. And now it is making it's way down to my chest. Really putting me through the ringer! It's no fun. I feel about as sick, maybe sicker than when we had RSV right before Reid was born.

On a lighter note, we are at 33 weeks now! In 3 weeks I'll be able to deliver at the birth center if I go into labor. Now that's crazy. Andy went through the garage and put all of the baby stuff in one area so we can get it all set up next month. We're getting down to the end now. :)

We still have no boy name... although I'm sure we'll come up with something. I think we're pretty settled on a girl name.

My lovely sister is throwing a little online baby shower for us, and we got our first gifts in the mail! We got a diaper backpack from Cindy and family, and an over the door organizer and carseat/nursing cover from the Clarks. We really don't need a lot, but those things are super helpful. I am so very glad we ended up getting the car seats all figured out so we don't need a new one of those. That saves a ton of money.

With being sick, I have lost a few pounds, which is not good. I've been trying harder to gain weight, especially with the Whole30. I'm a little worried, but I'm sure Little Baby is getting the nutrients he/she needs. I really am trying to eat more though and not lose. It's hard when it hurts to chew! I've been in contact with my midwife, my blood pressure has also been really low this week. Like 85/54 or something! Yikes. It is doing a little better now though. Can't wait to feel better!

Changes this week: Super sickness, body aches, the works.

Cravings this week: I don't want food. :(

Maternity photos

We had a fun week. Saturday dawned sunny and beautiful, so we headed to the park to take some maternity/family photos! It was really fun. And the kids got to play at the playground for a little while too.
Reid is pretty much potty trained. He has even started to tell us when he has to go, especially poop! He does have accidents sometimes still, but over all he's doing great. :) I told him, "Reid, you're potty trained!" Then Ruby said, "No Mom, he's not. He still wears a diaper for nap and bed time." Then Reid, who was going potty said, "I AM potty trained!!" He's determined.
Working out together! They really love joining me.
Reid wanted to get up on Ruby's bed while she was at preschool.
Ruby was playing princess and wanted Reid to be the prince and to propose to her. It was so cute.

Then she kissed his hand.
Our photo shoot in the park! It was fun.
 <3
 Andy acted as photographer.
And then we had Ruby take a few pictures of us.
She told Andy to bend down and kiss the baby. Haha
 Playing at the park!
That's Reid hanging on at the front there. He loved the merry go round.
I found Ruby copying the words of this book. She's so cute!!
And playing midwife, and listening to the baby.
Mmmm... clarified butter! Reid has been eating so well at meals, he pretty much cleans his plate. Ruby still has things she doesn't like to eat, but she's doing better.
They put on a performance for us on their "stage."
I took Reid to the library while Ruby was at school. This was our first extended trip in undies for him! He did great.
Then he had fun helping unload the silverware.
 After nap snuggles.
 Enjoying a tuna/romaine boat.
We headed out to the birth center on Tuesday, and Ruby made this for Reid to read.
I'm not sure if I posted this, but I took the carseat cover off to wash and there was a big crack in the foam. Thankfully Graco mailed us a replacement foam, and then replacement connectors. All set now, being tested by Alisha!
Early morning time. He likes to have a banana right when he wakes up, then helps me make breakfast.
Doing our 22 Minute Hard Corps workout!
 My splint helps.
More tractor watching with Reid with grocery shopping.
 He loves it so much.
We found a beef heart at Winco, Reid was fascinated.
I got an Instant Pot for an early birthday present! The first thing we tried was hard boiled eggs. They were super easy to peel, and the kids were big fans!
 :)
