32 weeks: Zoo lights and a sick day

We're getting all ready for Christmas. We love doing different Christmas activities around the city like the Zoo lights, tree lighting, driving around to look at lights, etc.
Miles LOVES the bath and just splashes and splashes.
 Naked time!
Oh Reid... he really loves playing with the laundry basket, unfortunately this time there was clothes in it.
Sleepy guy. His breathing was getting pretty raspy.
So I took him in to the doctor's office. They did albuterol, but it didn't really help. They said to come back if it gets worse. He did okay with the mask at first, but then he kept trying to chew on it and got frustrated.
We bundled all up and headed to the Zoo lights on Tuesday night. It was cold, and we kind of got a late start so parking was terrible. But we rode the train, which was fun!
When we first got on it, Reid was plugging his ears and said, "I'm just tewified." He thought it was going to be loud I guess, but once we got started he was fine.
 Ruby enjoying the lights.
 Going through the blue tunnel.
Hanging out in the gift shop to get warm while Andy and Reid went to get the car in the overflow parking lot.
Megan came over on Wednesday and we played hide and seek. Reid showed her his favorite place to hide. Hahaha!!
Ruby came home from school and read the little ones a story.
He really started to sit up well this week all on his own and hardly ever falls over anymore.
 Best brothers.
Reid did great coloring the manger of our little Advent thing. He's getting good at coloring but also gets frustrated when he can't do it. He usually just wants us to do it for him, but we're trying to teach him that practicing will help him get better at it.
 Mr. Flexible.
Reid is so creative! He came up with this...
...and this. He called it his "triple gun".
 They really love each other.
We bundled up and went on a nice walk in the afternoon before Ruby got home.

It was cold, but nice and clear. Reid started coughing part way through so he rode in the stroller for a while and that helped. Poor sick kids.
Cutie baby with the Christmas tree. The kids have been pretty good about leaving the presents alone.
 Playing some music for Miles.
We elevated his crib mattress on one end with a rolled up towel, but it doesn't seem to help all that much. He naps in his crib pretty well, although he still takes about 4 short naps a day. I'm not sure how to get him to sleep longer. Then he's been sleeping in our bed at night since he's been sick.
Reid always makes this and says, "It's like Jesus died on the cross!'
Helping with bath time. I've had to start wearing an apron so I don't get soaked from all of his splashing.
Morning couch snuggle time. I think it turned into a feet fight.
He loves looking in the mirror. We have it set up in his bedroom, which is fun.
Sunday evening we were supposed to go to Andy's work party, but Ruby got a fever in the afternoon (I discovered it after she put herself down for a nap). Andy still went, but I stayed home. She was mostly better the next morning, but we kept her home from school. No idea what caused the fever, she didn't have any other symptoms.
We had a fun play at home day instead. She's so cute.
 Playing doctor.
We watched White Christmas, which Ruby LOVED!
And then we did some painting. Miles did his in a ziplock.
 These guys had fun too!
Andy and the big kids like to play this game where they each take turns putting this ring on Miles's head and see who can get it to stay on the longest! Hahaha I think the record was like 14 seconds or something.
Getting the kids ready for bed is a struggle most nights, but once they have their jammies on, teeth brushed, and we read and pray, they settle right down and read for a while in their beds. It's so sweet.

31 weeks: Christmas tree cutting, and Miles turns 7 months

Boy, I just can't seem to stay caught up on my blog posts. :) Haha, that's life with three kids I guess. Reid isn't napping anymore, they all get up super early, and when they go to bed at night I am so tired that I go to bed soon after. Not much time for doing stuff on my computer. But oh well, we're busy living life. At least I get lots of pictures!

This is all three of our kids at around 6 months. They're all so different!

My parents were here and took Ruby to school. She was so excited.
He's starting to move around so much. Crawling is right around the corner.
We had hot chocolate after school on Tuesday from our Advent kit we got from church. The kids loved it.
Then we headed over to Bethany Village to watch the tree lighting. It was cold!
Oh Reid... They loved when the tree lit up.
And then we met Santa and Mrs. Claus. Reid was not really a fan. Ruby asked for a snow globe, then Reid asked for the same thing.
Miles was sound asleep, so we got a whole family photo.
He's starting to sit up real well.
And he still loves broccoli. He'll just sit and chew on it forever. We started doing a lot more purees too, but he doesn't love them as much.
And the best news ever... we paid off our car and are officially debt free! Woohoo!
He scooted all the way under Ruby's bed and was just kicking his legs.
 Wow!!!
 Epic fort building.
They're getting pretty good, and they love using my cook books to hold the blankets up.
Snot bubble! So Miles (and the other kids) has been sick for several weeks. Sorry this picture is gross, but also amazing. We're getting so tired of being sick all the time we've really upped our game with elderberry syrup, vitamins D & C, washing hands a lot, etc. I even got something to paint on Ruby's nails that tastes bad so she'll stop chewing on them and sticking her fingers in her mouth.
The boys and I did child care for my friend's old church again. This little guy on the left was the same age as Miles, but he was super fussy the whole time. I'm so grateful for a happy baby!
 Zzzzzz
And he turned 7 months. I just love his dimples.
Saturday was our 11th Anniversary! We went to get a Christmas tree in the morning, and it was nice and rainy. This was Ruby's first choice for a tree...
...and then her second choice. Haha
 They're so helpful.
And we finally found the perfect one. Last year it was at the very back of the lot, this year was at the very front. This picture was very hard to get, I reminded the kids that Reid kept running around the tree last year, so of course he did the same thing this year.
Family tree photo.
We were soaked! So we warmed up by the fire while Andy tied the tree to the car.
We tried to keep Miles dry.
We stopped by a Christmas bazaar on our way home.
And lit a fire for lunch time. The kids loved eating their lunch on the hearth.
Then Ruby wanted to try on my wedding dress. I just about started crying seeing her walk down the hallway in it! Oh boy.
 My laundry helper.
We got to go out for dinner for our Anniversary! We had a lovely time eating at Grassa with dessert at Matador. We've had a very happy 11 years. It was fun to get away without all of the kids, this was our first time.
We've been reading scriptures for the Advent every morning, and we also have a candle with 24 days on it. We burn down one day at a time.
And we also got all decorated for Christmas. Ruby was a really good helper this year!
All ready! (Minus the garland we got later).
Poor little sick baby. He wakes up coughing and it's pretty terrible. He's also about to get several more teeth, so that's not nice either.
He loves to play on his little quilt in his room.
Sunday evening we went to a fun event at our church. We did singing, shared dessert, and did lots of activities. Ruby made this cute snowflake for the wall.
A sweet moment on our way home.
We stopped by the statue Portlandia on our way home, and Reid did not like it! He said she was too big and scary and doesn't want to go by it again. Ruby loved it and wanted to get out to see it better.
Monday morning snuggles. They do get up early (sometimes as early as 5:30!) and are a little crazy in the mornings.
Dana and her boys came over to play for a while. The boys get along pretty well, it's so fun to have them close by.
He's pushing up on his hands and knees!
