Sick... again... and the Sock Hop

We went to Ruby's school Sock Hop on Friday night as a family, and it was super fun! We have the cutest little school, we just love it. Ruby won the K-1st hula hoop contest, she was so excited. She's a natural!
On another note, we all caught a cold and the kids all have had diarrhea... not so good. Reid's got really bad and I had to take him to the ER since his doctor didn't have any appointments on Monday. But he's okay and they're still doing tests to see what's causing it.
Miles is sleeping all night again, thank goodness. We're working on weaning and we cut out the miscellaneous nursing this week. He's doing great. When he asks to nurse I just snuggle him and give him his milk, and that works. Otherwise it's just morning, nap, and bed time left. Andy does go in there with him at night if he does wake up, and he goes right back to sleep. :)
I got to volunteer at the Book Fair at school. Ruby was so cute and brought some money to buy a little pencil sharpener/eraser/cupcake.
When I got home Andy was taking the boys out for a hike. Haha!
 Train tracks!
 Reading to Munny.
He sure loves that thing and snuggles with it at night. He woke up yesterday yelling "Munny! Munny," because he couldn't find it, and not even "Mommy!" Haha
They've been making forts in Miles's room with the rocking chair. They all get along very well while making forts for the most part, so I greatly encourage it. :) Ruby has been quite difficult lately, which we're trying to figure out.
She had her 7 year check up! She's doing great aside from the sicknesses. She's on the taller and heavier end for her age, which she has always been. They love the huge fish tank at the doctor's new office. They have all kinds of different fish!
Miles was trying to see how tall he was after they measured Ruby. He's such a little copycat.
Reid built this train track all by himself! He and Ruby are both getting really good at it. Ruby likes doing fun bridges.
Shining the flashlight on his horseys.
I took the boys to a park super early in the morning before Costco was open... huge mistake. Everything was wet/frozen.
But we had fun anyway. :)
Reid has been working on Valentine's for his class. Hahaha He's actually doing very well with them.
They love helping with the laundry! I stripped their jammies off to put them in too. Haha!
 That little smirk.
All dressed up for the Sock Hop! She was so cute.
Winning the hula hoop competition! She kept going and going, it was easy.
 Her prize.
Then the bigger kids did it and she kept going and going during theirs too!
They were playing "getting married." It was so cute.
 Afternoon family walk.
 All bundled up.
Ruby read Miles his bed time stories, which was adorable.
 Snuggling! He's so sweet.
They got all set up to play Out Foxed on Sunday afternoon. We put Miles to nap, then Andy and I headed down to Silverton for a wedding while Del and Patty came to hang out with the kids. They had fun!
But on Monday Reid wasn't feeling well. His diarrhea got bad and had blood in it. :(
So Andy rushed home and I took Reid to the ER while Miles napped.
It was about 4 hours from when we left home to when we got back... but we had some serious fun playing.
We figured out all about how the hospital bed worked. Reid said, "Now I want to be a doctor so I can make these beds work all day." Hahaha!
He had an accident and I didn't have any other pants/undies for him, all I had were Miles's sweat pants. Haha! Poor Reid. Grandpa Del came and brought us some extra pants right as we were about to leave.
More fun with the bed! He was feeling pretty good aside from the accidents. They did some tests and sent him home, then we followed back up with his doctor today and are going to do more tests.
Another fort!

Ruby turns 7!!

I seriously can't believe that Ruby is 7 already! We had a fun weekend celebrating her. She is such a vibrant girl, and a ton of fun. We love her so much. We had a party on Saturday for her in the morning because she was invited to her friend's party that afternoon. Lots of celebrating! My parents came up for it and brought Lia and Alera as a surprise. The kids woke up on Saturday morning with the girls sleeping on their floor and thought it was Grandma and Grandpa. Haha! We all had a great time. Here are our pictures from the week.
Reid has been wanting to buy this blue yarn from Michael's with his money for a long time, so we went and got it finally.
He pulled it all around the house like a puppy dog. Haha!
Omelets for dinner, and Ruby wanted it to be a "fancy" dinner. So we got out the candles and she wrapped our silverware in napkins. :)
I took Ruby to school and came back to Miles dressed like this! Hahaha! He loves it.
He also loves to climb up on the toilet and brush his teeth.
Dropping Reid off at preschool. He wanted to hang his water bottle and lunch up in his cubby.
Miles and I went to Winco and he "helped" put the groceries away. He's getting pretty good at stacking!
We made these snow man string cheese guys in preparation for the party.
I'm knitting my first pair of socks! The heel wasn't too hard.
Megan came over on Thursday and I actually was able to get a ton of cleaning and prep done for the party. These guys play together so well when she's here. They all were playing "babies."
I love it when the boys snuggle. So sweet.
 Playing Uno.
Our nightly routine. I put Miles to bed because he's still nursing, and Andy reads to the big kids. <3 Ruby's school is all reading a book together, so that's what they've been reading every night.
Ruby came home with this fun project!
I got a Dino doll in the mail from VIPKID and Miles loves it! Not quite as much as Munny though.
I let Ruby open up this dress the night before her birthday so she could wear it the next day. Then she proceeded to get up at 5:15 to put it on!!! It was a long day. :)
 The cousins are here!
I made this snowy cake for the party.
The friends are here! Ruby had her two cousins, two friends from school, and two friends from down the street there.
Pin the nose on the snowman!
 TP snow girls.
 Snowball stomp.
 Presents!
We got Ruby this hula hoop, and she is surprisingly VERY good at it! She's been practicing at school. It's supposed to be indestructible, so we'll see. Reid tends to break everything.
 Playing with her new things.
Cake time! Ruby's friends were Shania, Penny, Zahra, and Zoey.
She took a long time making a wish.
We gave these stamps out as party favors. Reid had fun decorating the snowman. We also got these ice cream cone popper things that everyone loved.
 Kissing cousins.
Ruby got this fun light thing that she can change the letters out.
She went to her friend Shania's party, then we all came back home for some pizza and more presents.
 They love matching!
We watched a movie before bed.
The babies were getting sooooo tiiiiirrrreeed.
On Sunday we all went to church, then we came home and Lia read them Ramona.
 Our little plumber.
Andy put some Nutella on Miles's tray and he was trying to lick it! It was just hilarious!
 Reid made this cool ship.
Ruby got some Legos for her birthday and we had a great time building them together. She's pretty good! I would find the pieces and she put it together.
I love it when they read together sweetly.
Oh Miles.... He makes us laugh a lot.
 Morning snack time.
Olaf the bunny at Preschool. We're going to take him home for the weekend in a few weeks!
I took the big kids to drop Reid off at school on Monday because Ruby's school had a grading day.
It was so cute to watch Reid! He's a good student. We had to kill some time from 9-10.
Then at 10 I took Miles and Ruby to OGA (Oregon Gymnastics Academy) for a MOPs play date! It was SO much fun.
Ruby hardly left the trampoline, she loved it!
Miles ran around like a crazy baby and I got a pretty good workout just chasing him. It was SO fun! His favorite was this long trampoline he could just run down. A few times his body went faster than his legs and he wiped out. Haha
 Balancing
He loved the bars too. There was also a big foam pit they both had fun with:
Miles would do this every time and just step in. Haha!

We got home and they were both SO tired! Ruby laid down to read for a while and almost fell asleep.
She's seriously good at the hula hoop!
She asked for "5 or 8 nightgowns" for her birthday, and she got 3. My mom made her this cute one. She loves them!
