Last hurrah of winter.. hopefully!

For the week of March 5-11
We hopefully experienced the last coldness of winter, spring is almost here and we can't wait! We're tired of the cold, tired of being inside, and SO tired of being sick. Bring on the warmth.

All three of the kids had diarrhea again this week, and Miles threw up a few times too. Thankfully it was short lived, only 2 days or so each. We were able to keep them all hydrated, and we've been healthy since!
We have to bring the outside toys inside when it's cold. These boys both love tractors.
Miles threw up about three times while he was sick, it was sad. He kept saying "puke," which was nice because it at least gave me a heads up. He fell asleep in the car and when I put him in the cart at Target he stayed sleepy for a little while. It was so cute. Poor guy.
Ruby wanted to have a romantic candle lit dinner. :)
We made some yummy double chocolate ice cream!
Reid really wanted a strawberry on his. It was SO good!
We all got bundled up and played in the back yard.
Reid got Miles dressed... in Ruby's coat! It was hilarious.
 Reading to his little brother.
We got some more of Reid's old clothes out for Miles (2T!). He loves his Mario shirt.
They played hot lava with the cushions and blankets.
They found Andy's Nintendo Switch... they love to play. We really limit time on it though, of course. :)
Miles was so excited about his dinosaur sweater!
Saturday morning was gorgeous (and cold), so we headed out to the zoo with Becca and Frances. We had tons of fun! It was a beautiful day, and not too busy. Andy and the kids made a whole map for our route after Ruby took a survey to see which animals everyone wanted to see. She's so cute.
There was still a little snow!
Ruby sure loves helping with Frances.
 Reid loves watching the train.
 New library books!
We finally made it to our Home Community! We've missed it so much this winter because of sickness. Ruby wanted to wear her red lipstick, and they all loved the wagon.
I did a fun criss-cross french braid. I just love doing her hair.
We got a box of diapers in the mail, the boys love to help me open packages with their butter knives. Haha

Winter... it's so long.

It's been a really long winter, with the cold weather and getting sick after sick. :( We're trying to make the best of it. We have hardly been able to go to church and our home community this year. I've only made it to MOPs once since Christmas. Spring can't come soon enough!
Reid says he's feeling better... but his cough got really bad and his temperature went back up on Tuesday.
So I took him to the doctor and they said he's okay, just to watch him. Thankfully he's been doing better since then.
We love Marble Run, toddler version!
Miles and I went out to run a few errands. :)
Checking out the weather on Wednesday... school got cancelled for Ruby and Reid. It was snowing in the morning, and they don't do a delayed start on Wednesdays because it's an early release day.
We got bundled up again and played outside with the neighbors for a while.
I went into the bedroom and they were both big lumps inside our duvet.
Ruby found a banana bread recipe in one of the Sesame Street books and wanted to make it! I helped, but she did most of the work and did a great job! It was yummy.
Ruby turned our coat closet into an elevator, then the next day while she was at school, Reid wanted to make the inside buttons. So he got out orange paper, cut circles, and glued them on black paper with some gibberish words on them. Hah! Then we put it inside of the elevator and they've been playing with it ever since. I love their creativity.
Making some play dough to take to Reid's preschool class.
Ruby went over to Zahra's impromptu birthday party on Thursday night down the street!
And then the next morning Ruby wasn't feeling good (diarrhea) so she stayed home from school. Thankfully it only lasted for a day or so.
Miles fell asleep on the way home from church, as usual. We all went in the family room during the service while Andy did production. After church, my left side was feeling very weak so I called my doctor who told me I should go to the ER just in case because of my previous blood clot in my eye. Thankfully they did an MRI and everything was okay. Not sure what's causing the weakness! Hopefully it will go away. Del and Patty were able to come watch the kids and Andy came in to hang out with me. Kind of like a date... haha. I was there for about 6 hours!
On Monday Frances came over to play with Miles while the big kids were at school.
These guys have so much fun together.
I love it when they all play nicely together!
We got Ruby some t-ball pants, then she accessorized. Haha! She's so cute!

Our themes of February: Snow and sickness

For the week of February 19-25
The kids have been sick over and over! It's mostly either fevers or diarrhea. This week Miles got puking with the diarrhea though. :( It's just never ending.
Just in the past week or two Miles has started stringing lots of words together. It's SO cute! Just today he said, "Mommy look hat!" And he says "Mine" and "yours" too. He loves to sing songs which is adorable. His favorites are Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Jesus Loves Me, and Down By the Bay. He also counted pretty much from 3-15 yesterday. He definitely skipped some numbers and 13, 14, and 15 all sounded the same, but still!
Andy got this picture of some Mommy/Miles snuggles. <3
I decided to give the boys a bath during the day and this is what happened... Hahaha
They got over it and ended up having fun.
The heater was blowing his hair!
We loved having Olaf the bunny here and loved feeding him lettuce...
 ...and celery.
Ruby got fun hair for the day.
She found my old 8th grade graduation dress way back in my closet and wanted to try it on. Since then she has been wearing the jacket thing a lot. Hah!
After school one day it was nice out, so Ruby and all of the neighborhood girls did some yard work.
 Daddy's exercise.
 Oh Reid...
Reid woke up with a fever on Friday. So he stayed home from school. We bundled up for a cold walk.
We think he had the flu, he had a fever and coughing. It got up to 103 on Saturday! Thankfully Ibuprofen brought it down. Poor guy. No one else got it though, thankfully. We all got a flu shot this year, so I think that's why it was mild-ish.
Ruby and I went out to run errands and buy some lipstick. :)
I got this necklace in the mail for my early Mother's Day gift. It's got a milk bead made from my milk and our kids' initials. I love it. It actually made me cry a little bit when I opened it.
 Apple/carrot sailboat for lunch.
They love making a trampoline slide.
We woke up Monday to some snow! The kids were again so excited.
Reid was feeling a little better, so we all bundled up and went out to play.
Andy was working in our bedroom so we threw some snowballs at him.
We built this snowman, which got super dirty because our yard is about half dirt and pine needles. It was still fun. Shortly afterward she got destroyed, of course.
Then we went over to the neighbor's house to use her snow (she's a single lady). Ruby and Miles made some cute snow angels. Reid had gone inside because he got cold.
Then we made a snowman with the neighbors.
The kids got to sled a few times across the street! This is Ruby and Aylah.
 This is Reid and Brayden.
During baby's nap we built a fort with a train track around it. It ended up being a fun snow day!
