Our big boy Reid turned 5 this week! He is just finishing up Preschool and is all set to start Kinder next year. He knows his ABC's and can write almost all of the letters. He likes to try to sound out words. He also lost his first tooth just this past week! His big one was growing in behind the baby one, but now that it's out, the big one is moving forward a little. Hopefully that won't be an issue. We're so proud of our big boy.
He has been LOVING the Magna Tiles he got from Grandma Debbie and Grandpa John. They all three have.
I took the boys to play at a new park and they both picked me little flowers. They're so sweet.
Birthday waffle for breakfast (and green eggs, his favorite).
He requested this fuzzy blue blanket and LOVES it.
They were playing wedding. Reid said, "Mom, is the word for a pretty man?" He couldn't remember the word "handsome." Hahaha
Reid had school on his birthday, but Ruby didn't because of a teacher walk-out to protest the huge budget cuts in education. So I took Ruby and Miles to Home Depot...
...and the park. It was a gorgeous day.
Reid also requested a donut cake. :)
Mega phones! Miles has his backwards. I love how creative these boys are.
Miles lined up all of the tractors.
I took the boys in for their annual checkups and they were able to get an appointment together, which was so nice! They're both healthy and growing well.
Reid did a vision test and Miles wanted to join in too.
Then we went to get their free birthday ice cream scoops at Baskin Robbins.
Andy and I like to stick all the random toys in a laundry basket then take it to the rooms to put them away. This time the boys started doing it by themselves! So cute.
Our little 3rd base player. She actually did really well at playing 1st base, she even caught the ball and tagged the bag before the runner got there! Of course, there's no outs in t-ball, but it was a great play. She's hitting and throwing really well too.
On Friday Grandma Patty came to watch Miles while I went to Reid's Mother's Day Tea.
They sang a few songs for us which were so cute.
Then we enjoyed milk and cookies together. I loved it!!
Friday afternoon was so hot and lovely outside, and the cars have been COVERED in a fine dusting of yellow pollen from all of the pine trees. So we got swimmies on and washed the cars.
The kids had so much fun.
Sneaky sissy kinking the hose.
Post-car wash show time.
Sissy burrito. She actually liked it. Haha!
On Saturday Andy took Reid on a dump run, and Ruby, Miles, and I went for a walk. Miles walked all the way to the park, but on the way home he got tired and sat down in the middle of the sidewalk. Haha!
Then we went out to get pizza!
We hardly ever go out to eat, so this was a special treat. We need to do it more. <3
Reid's big tooth was growing in behind is baby tooth! The baby tooth was getting SUPER wiggly.
On Mother's Day we headed out to church, then took some lovely pictures with my babies.
Andy seriously took about 87 pictures and these two were the best. I just love being their mom!!! They are such special kids.
And they got me a fish for Mother's Day! His name is Archer (or Archie) and he is beautiful.
Ruby made a very cute scavenger hunt for me. She had it all planned out on a chart and hid all of the clues.
It led to very lovely cards from the kids!
Miles put on these goggles and kept just looking at his feet. Hah!
They made a big train track while Mommy got an afternoon nap! <3 Just what I needed.
Then that evening Reid's tooth was SUPER loose so he let me give it a little tug. At first I didn't think it did anything, but then I noticed that it wasn't attached anymore! Haha
What a big boy, losing his first tooth. He was very excited to use his new tooth fairy pillow.
All three of our kids love to read, it's my favorite.
We did some corn rows for Ruby for school. It was so cute!
The boys helped Andy do the dishes.
Ruby made some "incurance" cards to pass out to all of us.
They all make the coolest stuff with the Magna Tiles.
