Long story short... my photos broke. But thankfully they are back up and working so we have lots of delayed pictures and blog posts to catch up on. So here we go!
For the week of 8/27-9/2
We had a very fun last week of summer! It was warm out and we had lots of fun outside play time.
We went to the 53rd Ave splash pad with our friends Elaine, Flint, and Ezra.
The kids got covered in sand. Reid filled the 2gal bucket we brought with sand and water, and when it was time to leave I couldn't dump it out since it was so wet. So we just brought it home like that. Hah!
Reid loves to help make dinner and wanted to peel the carrots.
Crazy hair bath baby!
Outside play time.
They filled the play house with water/mud. :)
Hahahaha!!!
Ruby wanted to wash her face like me. <3
The boys played "school" early in the morning.
Reid loves to draw pictures of our family.
We decided to have a yard cleanup day. I told the kids I would pay them a penny for every pinecone they picked up... Ruby got 400!!
This bush/tree needed some help...
...so Reid and I went to work and trimmed it. That's an old birds nest in there that I took out later. It is SO much better now.
He loved clipping the little suckers and branches.
This is how he gets out into the back yard...
Thursday night was Back to School Night! We got to drop off their school supplies and meet their teachers.
Ruby is in Mrs. Wick's class for second grade. Reid didn't know who his teacher would be yet, so we met all of the Kindergarten teachers.
2nd grade and Kindergarten! Hahaha
We ate a picnic dinner.
Living his best life.
We've been playing Memory with Reid's speech therapy cards. He's doing really well.
Cleaning time!
Miles picked all of my carrots. Hah! They were so tiny and cute, but we ate them up.
We got to watch the trash truck close up.
We rearranged the living room to have the "stage" available again. The kids love it!
Mowing like Daddy.
We went through the car wash and he was not a fan.
Ruby was being so sweet and comforting him.
Ruby reading to Miles. He likes to copy things he sees in books. Hah!
Reid got a book about wind from the library so we made the windmill project at the end of it. He was so excited.
Snuggling on Daddy at nap time...
...and throwback to the same picture almost 8 years ago. <3
We got the house and yard all cleaned up for a Pullen family barbecue to celebrate all of the September birthdays (there are 7). The kids were so cute waiting for everyone to come.
Miles and Frances love playing together.
So do Ruby and Cora.
Story time with Grandpa Del.
Miles made some soup for me outside.
Andy and Del took the kids to OMSI to see the Pixar display.
Pretty cute.
Then we had a family movie night.
Monday was Labor Day so we went on a lovely family hike!
Miles ran and ran.
We did a cute little scavenger hunt along the way. Ruby really wanted to bring her backpack.
Family picture! Right after this we saw some deer walking through this huge nature park in the city.
Then we went to play at a playground.
And, of course, Labor Day popsicles.
