Busy, busy, busy

We were very busy this week, with Ruby's VBS in the park, Ruby had a bunch of friends over, a MOPs meetup at a different park, Toy Story 4 on Saturday, and a Raffi concert on Sunday.
We started out summer break pretty low key with some watercolors.
Ruby got this ice cream drum stick at her VBS and wanted to share it with Reid, so I cut it in half right down the middle. Hah!
Tuesday was a GORGEOUS day, just the right temperature. So we met Andy in the park for a picnic after work.
 We had so much fun!
We even got to explore on a trail and cross a river, our favorite.
Cute kids running up the hill.
The boys came with me to take a package to UPS. We tried out our new stroller we got for Disneyland, and it works pretty well! I think we're almost ready to sell our big stroller, although it makes me sad! I've really loved that thing.
Ruby wrote this sweet letter for Andy.
Some of Ruby's friends from school (Jamie, Penny, and Rebecca) came over for a play date on Thursday.
They had lots of fun playing Twister, coloring, playing outside, and having a jumping contest. :)
Our neighbors across the street moved to Arizona, and our duplex mates bought their huge trampoline! So now we have one in our back yard. The kids love it.
I took the kids to Mt. View Champions Park on Friday for a MOPs meetup. This merry go round was super fun. Reid was spinning on it for a very long time.
Miles got stuck in the rope thing. Haha!
Ruby made new friends, of course.

The kids were quite naughty leaving the park, but they made me this nice apology when we got home. <3
Reid loves to make Lego vehicles and then play with them. It's pretty cute.

On Saturday we took Miles over to play with Frances...
...while we went to see Toy Story 4 with the big kids!
Reid loved the reclining seat. We laughed, we cried, it was tons of fun.
He likes to "go to sleep."
Ruby got Samantha all ready for bed in their matching jammies.
I did a fun braid in her hair on Sunday.
Reid made a cracker sandwich with cheese and a strawberry.
We went to see Raffi with all of the Pullens!
The kids loved singing along. It was fun.
 Raffi!
Then we celebrated Frances's birthday! Here are all of the Pullen cousins except little Hayden who had to go home to go to bed. He is so sweet, I got to hold him. :)
Monday morning jumping time!!
He loves corn on the cob. :)

Summer's here!

Ruby finished school! We're having a fun summer so far, even if it has been pretty crazy.
Here's Ruby at the beginning and end of 1st grade.
And here is Reid at the beginning and end of Preschool. They both had great years and are excited for 2nd Grade and Kindergarten next year.
 Reading too Miles.
One day Reid made his bed really nicely all by himself...
And then apparently Reid bit Miles's finger in the living room, so Miles ran back and threw all of Reid's bedding on the floor. !!!! I didn't know 2 year olds took revenge. Haha
We met Dana and her boys at Magnolia Park! It was lots of fun.
Cutie, he is so busy at parks. I just have to chase him around the whole time.
He was sleeeeeeepy at nap time and almost fell asleep while I was rocking him. <3
It was SUPER hot that day and when Ruby got home from school we set up the pool!
The neighbor girls came over and the kids had a blast.
 So nice to cool off.
Reid was cold so he sat on the a/c to warm up.
Mmmmm... apple cores. He even asked for the core at lunch yesterday after I cut up an apple. He must take after Aunt Cindy. Hah!
Last day of school! She had such a great year, and got a really good report card! She's reading at a 3rd grade reading level. Her teacher said she loved having Ruby in her class.
Ok... Miles's second toes are shorter than his third toes. I don't know if I've ever seen that before! So funny.
 Hahahaha
I snuck over to Ruby's 1st grade party at the park while the boys were napping and Andy was home. We had fun!
Then we welcomed Ruby home from her last day of school with lots of noise makers and instruments when she got off the bus. She loved it.
She's going to help plan meals all summer and help cook.
Her first choice was Fun Dinner, of course.
 Playing School. :)
We all went to her last t-ball game on Saturday! She did so great this season!
I packed a lunch for the boys.
She was really a leader on her team and of course initiated this group hug on home plate.
I had to sit behind Miles on the way home so he wouldn't fall asleep before his nap. It's so tricky to keep him awake in the car right before nap time! I struggled with this with all of my kids. But if they fall asleep in the car, they get a tiny, horrible nap, won't take a real one, and are so cranky. Thankfully we usually make it home for the real nap.
 Fun with cups.
Father's Day was on Sunday! We woke Andy up with his present... Nerf Guns! Then we had some target practice.
 Snuggles
Yummy Father's Day dinner... ribs, salad, roasted sweet potatoes, and apple pie. Andy's such a good dad to our kids.
He even got dressed in a dress because they all wanted him to. Haha!
 I joined in too.
They do this a lot at bed time.
On Monday Ruby started a little VBS in the park, so the boys and I walked her over there and played for a while.
On the way home Reid found a 4-leaf clover!! He was so excited.
Then we played cars for a long time.
We walked back to the park to get her, she really liked the bouncy house. And she met another 7-year-old named Ruby and had a ton of fun with her.
We gave the kids their out of school gift... a new water table! They had tons of fun playing.
Here's our little garden, growing lettuce, carrots, beets, and Nasturtiums.
