More summer fun

This week was busy finishing swimming lessons and just having fun overall! It has been really hot out, so we're trying to stay cool.
Ruby with her teacher Jeff and Reid with his teacher Jessica.
Reid wanted to wear his baby bunny.
Andy was at dinner with his coworkers one evening and I got the kids ready for bed. I had to put Miles to bed, and the big kids were so good! Ruby read to Reid quietly on the couch. <3
 Climber!
Ruby had been swallowing too much pool water and every day after lunch she felt sick. Then also she got a lovely summer cold (and then shared it with Miles and I). Poor Ruby.
We played Sardines after dinner. This was Reid's hiding spot. Haha!
The kids got free books for finishing the summer reading program at the library! Miles was reading his and blabbering, it was so funny.
Ruby did SO good on her back floats and almost passed out of level one. She just has a little bit more to go with steamboats and front floats.
Reid walked like this all the way into the dressing room after swim lessons every day... he was so cold.
They wanted to potty train Miles! He thought it was pretty funny.
 He found his nose!
 They were playing wedding.
After they finished swimming lessons they each got a prize for trying new things. We were super proud of Reid not being scared or throwing any fits. He got this fun take apart crane truck.
And Ruby chose this makeup bag. She's been doing makeup almost daily since. Haha
On Saturday we went to the Robin Hood Festival!
We ran into some friends, which was super fun. Andy and Nathan learned some sword fighting moves.
And then the kids had a turn too.
 They loved it!
Miles LOVED meeting this little puppy. We need a dog.
Our kids with William and Juniper riding a magical unicorn.
Ruby carried Junie all around the festival. Haha! She's almost two, but she's smaller than Miles.
Then we met Robin Hood and Maid Marian.
And we had fun watching BJ the Clown. That's Reid and William standing up down front.
We busted out the Halloween buckets for some blackberry picking.
Grandpa Del and Grandma Patty joined us! We got a bunch to freeze and they were delicious.
Ruby found the Frozen microphone. :)
 He copies EVERYTHING we do.
Ruby and Reid colored Elsas and put on a puppet show for us. Ruby wrote a little script and made Andy narrate. It was the cutest.
 BFD with some delicious blackberries.
Nightly wrestling has become a thing around here.
We've been putting the kids to bed in separate bedrooms, which works out well. Except I was starting to get sick so I wanted to go to bed early and Ruby was still awake. So we laid in bed and read our bibles together. <3
On Monday I took the kids to see Presto the Magician at the Bethany fountain.
 I love her smile.
Reid thought it was pretty great.
And then we played Sequence after nap.

Swim lessons

We had swimming lessons all week long. It was lots of fun and the kids did great. It did get a little old though and we couldn't do much else.

Miles has been practically running around and he's talking so much! He shakes his head yes and no when we ask him questions and says tons of words. Here are some of them"
Mama, Dada, uh-oh, no-no, book, bible, ball, doggy, bye Dada, bye-bye, mo (more), ah-du (all done),  di-pa (diaper)
Swim time!
On the other end of the pool there were divers every day who did a rope swing and lots of diving, even off of the high platform. It was so fun to watch!
Miles went in his stroller most of the time but he liked getting out and watching through the window too.
One of the kids gave him their yogurt container after they ate it. He loved it!
Ruby and I made a HUGE pop bead necklace during nap time.
They love to climb in things.
Chick-fil-A had free dinner if you dressed like a cow.
 Even Miles joined in.
We took our dinner home though and had a picnic in the living room. There wasn't much room at the restaurant.
 Mmmmm
Ruby's swim teacher said she was terrified of getting her face in the water, so we filled up the tub and practiced. She did really great and then was not afraid the next day!
Morning play time in the kitchen.
Ruby with some of her class mates.
Ruby helped plan a dinner and then helped make it! She chose veggie omelets and roasted potato wedges.
She was really good at chopping the veggies, and dinner turned out great.
Reid adopted this baby bunny as his own. He puts it to bed in a drawer he got from the living room side table and tons of blankets on top. Haha! His name is Hopper.
 Flossing Daddy's teeth.
We had fun at the library after nap one day. Miles loved this mirror.
 My little reader.
 He's so funny!
They put on a little puppet show for us.
Bed time... she was legitimately sleeping like this. <3
Reid was super nervous about getting any of his head in the water, but he started doing the back of it at least and relaxing a little more for his back floats.
After nap one day we ran to Target and then Ruby asked if we could walk around a neighborhood afterward. It was super hot, but super fun!
And then she dressed like a beautiful queen and we all had to call her Queen Ruby and make requests.
On Saturday we went to a fun new park! They had lots of cool stuff to play on.
And a fun water feature too. The kids all got soaked. Miles just ran around and around and LOVED it!
 Ruby's dinosaur.
Ruby wanted to practice teaching one of my English classes. It was SO cute. I've been teaching a lot more in the mornings, and it's a ton of fun!
We've been enjoying these fudge bars from Costco, and they're not too unhealthy either. Win!!
 Ruby's faces post fudge bar.
 DANCE PARTY!!!!
Some days after swim lessons we stop at this park for lunch. They have free lunch for all kids all summer.
