Walks and hikes

We had a fun week, we are enjoying the end of summer around here. Less than two weeks until school starts! I can't believe it.
The boys helped with dusting and cleaning the front door.
Ruby got all dressed up and went out for the day with Aunt Katie and Cora. They had fun!
Meanwhile, I took the boys on a very long walk through the Oak Hills neighborhood. Reid kept choosing to go the long way and it ended up being a super long walk! This is the progression we went through...
Collecting rocks and flowers...
...tired, time to sit down...
...so tired, time to lay down in the shade...
...it was a challenge to get them all the way home. Hah!
After a nice nap for Miles we had fun with water in the back yard. Poor Reid has to be careful to not get his cast wet, but he's pretty good at it. Miles liked the waterslide.
 Cutie Ruby loves the trampoline.
 They flooded the play house!
We took the back off of Ruby's booster seat and she fits well and loves it! She's really growing up.
Andy and I had to go get our wills notarized (which ended up not working out anyway), so we took the kids over for Patty to watch them at Becca's house with Frances. Then we grabbed pizza on our way home and had a living room picnic. :)
 Hahaha, he is so silly.
Ruby put this pretty bow and twist in my hair.
We have so much fun watching the tractors across the street. They've been putting in water/sewer lines lately.
Afternoon movie choices... they finally settled on Cars 2, Reid's current favorite.
Thursday night we went down to Jon and Janelle Furman's for dinner. Miles had his first Skittles and kept saying, "Mmmmm, yummy! I love these!" It was a super late night though and they've all been sleeping bad since then. :(
On Friday morning we went to the MOPs meetup at a park.
You wouldn't know it, but there are 5 kids hiding in these plants. They had lots of fun with my friends' boys, until they were all throwing sticks and Reid gave another kid a bloody nose... oops!
We went to Vose Elementary for the last free lunch of the summer and Andy met us there. They have such a fun playground!
Reid's cast hand is getting so gross. We try to wash it, but it's kind of impossible. At least it's coming off tomorrow.
 He's so cute.
 Static slide hair!
Someone at the MOPs play date took this cute picture. :)
Ruby had Mickey and Minnie get married. <3
We went over to check out the diggers. This one is so huge! That's Reid next to it.
I came from the kitchen to the living room and found him like this. :)
On Monday I took the kids to Greenway Park to do the Fanno Creek trail. It was SO fun! They just kept running and running, and stopping to throw rocks into the river.
About half way down the trail we suddenly came to a flood.
So Ruby found a trail to the left and we made it around the flooded part! Then we played at a playground for a while.
Heading back to the car. I sure love adventures with these guys. <3

Reid's cast

We had a fun week, but Reid ended up needing a cast. :( They didn't see a fracture on the x-rays, but there was some trauma around the area and he possibly injured his cartilage, so they put one on for two weeks to stabilize his elbow. He's been doing so great with it though!
On Tuesday we went to Jamison Square park with our friends to enjoy the water.
 Reid and William
All three kids LOVED it! Miles was so cute.
At our new church Ruby gets some devotions to do throughout the week. It's so cute.
Having some fun at speech therapy.
I took the kids to Pips donuts after speech therapy on Wednesday... the line was super long but they did great. And we got delicious donuts.
Miles fed Bob some string cheese. Haha!
I gave the kids some dish soap and corn starch for potions.
He gets out his tractors to play every day. He loves putting a play potato in the excavator and dumping it in the dump truck. Hah!
 "Is this Daddy?" Hahaha
 Who needs a shirt anyway?!
Poor Reid hadn't been using his arm much so I though it was time to take him in. It really wasn't bruised or swollen, which was good.
He was still able to build fun Legos.
 Blackberry crazy boy.
Ruby has the pretties green eyes.
Time to get his cast on! I took him to the fracture clinic at Shriners OHSU. He chose blue, of course.
They gave him Captain America to pass the time, which he loved.
Andy had taken the other kids to work while I took Reid in, so when I went to get them we got a tour of our new church. It's crazy big! They have this tunnel underground to another part of the building!
Post library time is the best time at our house.
 Thumbs up. :)
He really likes to snuggle with my tummy. Haha
He picked me some sweet peas. <3
We made waffles with mascarpone cream and fresh picked blackberries for breakfast. Yum!!!!
They sure like to be creative and have fun!
Ruby wanted to do the boys' hair. Hah!
