Jog-a-thon

For the week of 10/8-10/14

The kids did their annual Jog-a-thon for school! Ruby ran 5 laps and Reid ran 4. It was so cute to watch.
Reid started speech therapy again at a closer office, so that has been nice. He's doing really well! And Miles loves lining up the huge bears.
Patty and Del were watching Penelope and Hayden so we brought them dinner. :) It's always fun for the cousins to get together.
Our church sends home a 4 day devotional thing for Ruby, so we do it together at night. <3
I love doing her hair in fun ways!
 Tiger day at school!
 They were pretty cute.
 More swimming lessons!
He loves the water. Makes me wish I had done it with Reid when he was little... he doesn't like the water so much.
 Watercolor time.
Taking his animals for a walk. We got this new stroller because we're pretty much done with our big one, and then we sold the big one.
 Ready for the jog-a-thon!
There she goes! She ran so fast.
 All done!
 There goes Reid!
 Great job Buddy.
Reid wrote "I ran 4 laps." He's doing soooo good with his reading and writing!
We enjoyed the gorgeous day and played outside for a while. Ruby found a lady bug.
Playing with bubbles in the kitchen.
Reid builds such cool Duplo things.
Duplos are so fun, we all love them!
Playing in the tunnel at church!
In her devotional thing it said to hold two books out as long as she could. Hah!
 Zzzzzz
Miles has what seem like chips in the back of some of his front teeth, so I took him to the dentist to get the worst one filled. They fed the turtles while we waited, which was so fun!
So then he had the filling done and it was not so fun. He did great, but they dropped the drill bit down his throat!! It was so scary and freaky. Thankfully they got it out, but I just about panicked. It was really weird and I was thankful that he was ok.
Then they gave us a gift card to Si SeƱor because we had to wait an extra long time when we got there (or so they said, I'm not sure it wasn't because of the drill bit incident), so we went out to dinner that night.

Octobering

For the week of 10/1-10/7

Here are fun photos from the start of October! We jumped right in and did a pumpkin patch and a corn maze.
We've been waking Miles up from his nap so he'll go to sleep at night, but he often snuggles with me on the couch and falls back asleep. <3 I really don't mind.
We really love paper crafts! And tape.
He's very self sufficient, and really loves oranges. He has at least 4-5 a day.
Time for some Ticket to Ride! I'm pretty sure Reid ended up winning. He did quite well.
 Some eggs for Bunny.
Miles and I went to a pumpkin patch with my MOPs group while the big kids were in school.
He's so cute with his shaggy hair.
He carried this little pumpkin around for a long time...
...but he ultimately picked this really warty one. He said, "This is so funny!"
He doesn't quite get the face in the whole picture thing.
He got tired and laid down in the bark chips for a while. That was fun to get out of his clothes/diaper... Hah!
 Candyland!
Reid loves to help me cook. Making some potato soup. All three of our kids really love soup, which I love.
I volunteered to read to some Kindergartners and got to see Reid at the beginning of class. He's so cute. Mrs. Doughty really has them trained well, they all walked into class, put their backpacks and coats away, got their lunches into the lunch basket thing, and all sat down and started on their work before she even got there!!
Bible story time. The kids were so happy to have Andy back home.
We packed up and went to a corn maze on Sauvie Island on Saturday! It was wet and muddy, but fun.
At the top of the haystack.
Ruby led the way! We made it all the way through and didn't get lost too much. It was huge though and took probably 45 minutes!
Then we got some corn to share as a snack. Then we went on a hayride.
Cutie pie. she loved to wear my mom's old glasses until they broke.
Then later that afternoon, Miles decided to take a bite out of one of these mushrooms outside. It freaked us out!! I called poison control immediately, and they said watch him for 2 hours for hallucinating, and then 8 hours for gastrointestinal issues, and 24 hours for any other issues. Thankfully he was just fine. We're not sure he actually took a bite, the neighbor's friend said he did, but he kept saying he didn't, and no one else saw it. We were so thankful that he was okay.
Reid wanted to make "pudding" and told me all of the things to add in it... flour, butter, sugar, and some other stuff...
It was slightly edible mushy paste. Hah! We all had a bite or two.
 He draws the cutest pictures.
 My favorite.
He got out Reid's firefighter helmet.
Ruby made a snack for everyone. She is so cute.
