Quarantine week 17: Pajama Party

For the week of 7/7-7/13

Ruby organized a Pajama Party for us! So on Tuesday afternoon we all got pajamas on and had lots of fun. :)
Reid drew this big 5-headed monster.
Ruby planned a Cookie Pizza (and several other snacks) for the party, and helped make it.
She also wrote us all these invitations.
They were pirates on their ship, using vacuum attachments for their spy glasses. Hah! They're so creative.
Pajama Party time!
And the schedule.
First off, some games (while we ate popcorn and crackers).
Then time for the cookie pizza. We all had different toppings.
Then we had a coloring contest, another game, more snacks... we all had fun. It was a great success!
Miles was helping clean the bathroom... totally naked. Hah!
Kinetic sand is so fun.
Ruby, Miles, and I walked down to the high school to get free lunch, and Andy and Reid met us there with the car (so we didn't have to carry it all back). It was a fun walk!
"Ruby's Personal Space. Only Ruby ALLOWED"
We busted out our old tortilla press for some homemade corn tortillas. They were delicious, and the kids all loved them!
She's so cute!
On Friday we went on a family hike by the Audubon Society.
<3 Goof balls! After this we followed a narrow side trail through huge bushes/weeds, and then Reid and I got stung by a nettle! So we headed back home to take care of it. We ended up being fine, after we iced it and used duct tape to get the tiny spines out of our hands.
Then later in the afternoon we went on another hike. Nothing wrong with a 2 hike day!
This little guy often gets up after the kids go to bed, so Andy and I play with him.
Cutting out cookies for their bakery called "Sibling Surprise."
And play dough in his hair, of course.
We usually do some shows in the afternoons, and they built a huge pile to lay on.
Parking lot bike time!
She loves bike riding.
Then we hiked around the Cedar Mill waterfall.
He's been putting his shirt like this lately. He is so silly!
He climbed on the counter and got a tomato to eat. They're his favorite. I am worried that I won't get any from our plant outside once it starts producing!
What a beautiful mud pie.
The Pullens organized a Bingo zoom!
It was super fun. A little stressful with Miles, but Ruby sure loved it! She even won a prize.

Quarantine week 16: The 4th of July

For the week of 6/30-7/6

It has been a chilly summer so far. We've been enjoying ourselves though! It's definitely not easy to stay quarantined, but we're doing it.
Ruby and I go jogging a few days a week.
The boys love building with Duplos.
I just love our gorgeous sweet peas! They're still blooming a month later.
Miles fell asleep in the car, so we took the opportunity to go through the car wash. He is always too scared to want to go, and is thankfully a hard sleeper and didn't wake up.
Ruby and I went outside and picked all of these flowers from our neighborhood! Most of them are wild flowers. Reid kept saying, "These are just so beautiful."
I headed out to my book club and Ruby wanted to say goodbye.
Drinking yogurt through a straw...
And then, of course, this happened. He is so fast and so naughty!
Mama/Miles workout.
We made a little puppet theater.
Reid's vehicles.
All ready to go outside in Sissy's shoes!
Andy had off on Thursday, so we drove up to Kelley Point for a hike. It's the place where the Willamette and Columbia rivers meet. Reid found a huge stick!
Miles got tired. Hah!
We had fun walking around on the beach.
And, of course, digging in the sand.
This little place was fun, we climbed around on the rocks and log.
<3
She was brave!
Then we practiced skipping rocks.
Miles climbed up there all by himself!
And then he found a stick too. There was all of this white fluff from some trees. We had brought a picnic to eat, but we didn't want to eat all of the white fluff too.
So we drove down the road until we found this dog park, and we ate on the grass outside of it while we watched the dogs play. :)
The kids love making this "shelter" in the back yard.
Time for some Monopoly!
The kids got inspired to decorate on the 4th of July.
It turned out pretty cute. :)
Red, white, and blue on our way to ride bikes.
We went to a nearby church parking lot to play!
Reid had his training wheels off a year ago, but then a long-ish bike ride in a hilly area scared him and he wanted them back on. We finally convinced him to try them off again, and he took off with no problems at all!
Cutie pie.
It was warm! So we came home and ate popsicles.
We got a fireworks pack from Costco. Ruby organized it into set off order for us, of course.
And then she made these bracelets for us to wear as our tickets to attend our fireworks show. Hah!
Reid kept sitting down in his chair and it fell over. Hah! At first we tried the fireworks in our side yard... but then it was definitely a little too small.
We did sparklers though!
Reid turned his into a welding torch.
They all had lots of fun. Then we moved out to the driveway for the rest of the bigger ones.
Miles was just so cute watching them. They all were!
Finale!
Reid built a Duplo tree house!
The next day I laid down on my bed and Miles came and fell asleep on me. <3 So sweet.
We walked over to the cemetery and played the Alphabet game (we had to find the letters A-Z just from the first letters of words/names). Miles kept saying, "Awwwwww" at each grave because he was apparently sad that person had died. It was sweet.
Miles drew a rhinoceros!
We get our little hammie out frequently, he sure is cute/fun!
