Finally some warm, sunny weather

The weather has finally warmed up a bit around here! April was very rainy, as usual...
...and brought tons of flowers ready for May. Reid picks me all the flowers on a regular basis. <3
Miles and I made banana bread while the big kids were at school... it was very stressful. Haha! I'm shocked he didn't end up with handfuls of batter in his mouth. It pretty much stopped just short of that. He sure had fun mashing the bananas and watching the "mixeler" go though.
Ruby finally had her first t-ball game! She wore her pink belt. Hah! She was so cute and did a great job.
The boys and I went for a little bit and then headed home for bed while Andy and Ruby finished out the game.
Right after her first big hit!
Then on Thursday we walked over to Terra Linda park in the late morning. It took me just about forever to get Reid out of the house, but I'm glad he finally got dressed and wanted to go.
Miles loved walking in the tall grass. And then we saw the mower coming and they were both fascinated.
It got awfully quiet while I was making dinner... Hahaha! Reid used every single towel we own, and Miles was just dumping away.
 Spaghetti Freddy.
We ate hard boiled eggs all week.
Ruby set up a "calming corner" for herself like they have at school. She's so cute.
We occasionally get pictures of her at school from her teacher, I love it. They were writing poems outside.
 Twinsies!
Miles got out the can opener, took off his socks, then tried to cut his toenails. Haha!
 Sidewalk chalk...
We let Ruby stay up for about 30 minutes extra on Friday night and played Egyptian Rat Slap with just the three of us. She LOVED it and couldn't stop giggling. She even won! Although I have been very impressed with her lately, she no longer gets upset or throws fits when she loses. She's really growing up.
Ruby had an idea that we all draw our bedrooms. It was fun!
We borrowed Battleship from the library.
 He's obsessed with bubbles!
And he loves to help stir the eggs in the morning.
Ruby wanted to think of rhyming words. Haha... riy! She did pretty good though!
On Sunday Andy was at church all day doing production, so the kids and I stopped at a lovely new park on the way home from church. It was SO fun and they all behaved so well! We'll definitely do that again soon. Miles can go down the bigger slides all by himself now.
 Nap time Candyland.
I started vacuuming the living room, and Miles ran around rescuing the toys and books that were still out and put them in his tractor.
It was so warm yesterday that the kids got out swimsuits and the kiddy pool! We can't wait until summer.

Easter!

Andy and I finished off our trip and came home on Wednesday. We had such a lovely time! But we definitely missed our kids.
We did lots of FaceTime calls. :)
The kids had fun at the park!
 Haha
 They love to climb.
So cute.
We stopped at Multnomah Falls on our drive home. It was crazy how close that gorge fire came to destroying the lodge in 2017. There were burned trees right up the hill from it, and the trail up to the top of the falls is closed long term. But it was still beautiful!
When we got home Andy and dad put together our new bed! We love it so much. Our old one was cheap and breaking.
We also got some cute new art and frames for our dining room.
Reid wrote a letter to Jesus. ❤️
My parents gave Miles a birthday present because they won't be here on his actual birthday.
Goodbyes are hard! The kids had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa. They are gems!
I went with Ruby to her parent/teacher conference on Thursday. She's doing great in school! Here are two of her projects.
She's a good writer and an excellent speller.
Baby boy snuggles. This guy is SO sweet.
 And so cute!
Reid loves to go out to my desk and "teach."
 Ruby and Aylah
A bunch of the neighborhood girls came over and I printed them all coloring pages which occupied them until it started raining.
Ruby had no school on Thursday and Friday. So she, Miles, and I went to the store. They loved the car cart! Ruby barely fit though, she's seriously getting big.
She loves reading so much. :)
 And drawing! Haha
Rebecca from down the street came over to help us color eggs.
Then we smashed the confetti eggs on each other's heads.
All ready for t-ball! Too bad it was cancelled again.
We went to Reid's preschool church for their Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Miles just kept getting the red candy bars and nothing else. Hah!
Ruby got these pretty flowers painted.
Reid got TONS of fruit snacks!
They love to help me cook. Miles calls my mixer the "mixeler." We made carrot cake, monkey bread from scratch, and butternut squash risotto for dinner.
On Easter morning the kids got up early to find their baskets. Miles's was right next to him, but he was too busy playing his harmonica. Haha! He finally found it.
Then Ruby found hers in their laundry hamper.
And Reid's was on the dryer.
Miles wore Uncle Randall's old blazer, which was adorable!
Our monkey bread was so yummy! We had it with hardboiled eggs, of course.
Then we went to church, then to Del and Patty's for brunch. Little Frances was SO cute in Ruby's old dress. They really love each other. Haha!
Miles got to sit in a big chair and did quite well.
Then we went home and frosted our carrot cake. Ruby wanted to decorate it with a carrot. Ha!
Then we headed over to my cousin Joel and Dana's! The kids had so much fun in their huge yard.
And we did a big egg hunt.
 Easter dinner was SO delicious!
Ruby was all tuckered out from the day she fell asleep reading. ❤️
Then on Monday evening we saw our caterpillars turn into their chrysalides! It was SO cool. I've never seen them do that before. We should have butterflies in a few days now!
Ruby arranged a reading nook for her Ramona books. She is so cute.
