Quarantine week 10: Sick toddler and Memorial Day

Poor Miles ended up with a fever for three days, and deep congestion in his nose. His little snores were so cute. And he slept a ton on Tuesday, I think he took 3 naps!

School has been pretty rough lately to be honest. Reid has 9am zoom calls with his class and he just gets so squirrely, his teacher calls him out on it quite a bit. I don't know how to make it better. :( Only three weeks left though, then SUMMER!!
Poor Miles fell asleep right in the middle of the activity. :(
Ruby makes forts all day long.
 Another nap.
They have a river they've made in the back yard that has been so fun.
On Wednesday he seemed to be feeling a little better. He was up and around and ate, but he still had a fever.
 Almost done with her quilt!
Andy looked out the window and saw this little animal! It was eating our grass. We think it was a baby nutria maybe??
 Ruby made mud gloves.
They all joined in Reid's class.

Ruby drew the baby nutria for a school assignment.
 Snuggles.
We all decided to paint our nails.
 She loved it!
Even Andy got in on it! Haha
We got a new little pool! The kids wanted to sit in it while they watched Andy mow.
Ruby worked hard and made a starting/finish line for us to race down the hall.
 Pretending to be hamsters.
By Thursday his fever finally broke and he was feeling better!
Andy wanted to give the pantry a clean out, so the kids played "store"!
It was a lovely evening, so we went out back and played a super fun game of capture the bucket (flag).
Girls against boys! Ruby and I won. :)
Sunday morning church time. Miles always gets his instruments out for the singing.
The kids decided they wanted to make a maze for the hamster. They started making it with blocks, but Miles kept bumping the box...
...so Mommy got involved and we made this out of cardboard!
There he goes! It was super fun.
 Ruby made a house outside.
 Outdoor reading time.
We made Eier Datch on Monday and Reid loved it.
Poor guy is still super tired. :(
We've been watching Avatar the Last Air Bender, and the kids are loving it! It's super fun.
 More river time.
They found a little ant that was crawling on Ruby's arm. They're so cute.
He's been loving eating the lettuce straight from the garden.
We got a new outdoor table! So we got it all set up to eat Memorial Day dinner on... and then it started raining. Thankfully it was just a little sprinkle and we're Oregonians. :)
Little Phoenix! He's the cutest.

Quarantine week 9: Stuck inside

It has been raining and raining lately. :( So there's not really anywhere we can go or things we can do. We've been trying to enjoy small breaks in the rain by getting out on walks and things, but yesterday it just kept randomly pouring! That's Oregon spring for you anyway.

But this week was pretty good. School was quite rough for Ruby, she had a lot of writing assignments which are not her favorite. And she has just been getting really tired of being stuck at home all the time. It would be so hard to be a kid right now and just have no control at all. We're trying to help her as much as we can.

Miles was sleeping through the night really well, and staying in his own bed! Until he got sick Monday night. He has had a fever and waking up frequently at night. Poor guy. We have no idea where he got it.
He loves to make faces when I go to take a picture. He also keeps biting the same bite on whatever he's eating, just a little further each time, which is so funny.
Doing experiments with milk, water, and pipettes.
They all liked helping shuck the corn.
 He's so flexible! Hahaha
They ran out through the rain to their play house to play for a little bit.
I spy some little feet in there...
Ruby has been building non-stop forts.
And then she did this one and we could all 5 fit in it!
So we were talking about where we would each sleep if we had to live in it.
 Reid had the most room.
We get Phoenix out to play most days. He's getting super comfortable and friendly! Every time at least one of the kids says, "I'm so glad we have him!" He's the sweetest.
 Reid built this huge machine.
On Saturday we had to run an errand, so we all shared a root beer freeze. The kids absolutely loved it! Fridays and Saturdays are the best, because the kids don't have school. The district went to doing furlough days on Fridays so they can preserve jobs for next fall, which is really smart. I don't mind only having 4 day school weeks for sure.
Reid loves his circuit board thing.
We did communion together with our church on Sunday morning. It was really special.
I've been working on Ruby's quilt, and it's almost done! It has been hard to squeeze it in though, so I try to put a lot of work in on the weekends when Andy can help with the kids.
I caught them sitting and reading. It's my favorite.
He fell asleep like this on Monday. We didn't realize that he was starting to get sick. He also asked me to read him about 8 books throughout the day. The extra cuddles were so sweet.
We went on a family walk Monday afternoon. He just has to make faces. Haha
 Cutie!
It's hard to get a real smile out of him too.
It was so fun! We ran into our neighbors out on a bike ride too.
 Me and my middlest.
He loves to do this. Hah!
Reid made a good guy Lego base and worked on it for about an hour!
Miles did some FaceTime with Frances. That evening he was super tired and started getting a fever. :(
