48 Weeks

We've had a fun week, with Christmas, church on Christmas eve, and lots of family and friend visits. I'm at my parents' house, so I'll have to post more pictures next week. Ruby had a great Christmas, and had lots of fun opening presents and playing with her Pullen side cousins.

For her first Christmas, she got Duplo legos from us, a touch and feel book from us, jammies from Grandma and Grandpa Wetzig, a book and a mug from Aunt Becca, a percussion set from Grandma and Grandpa Pullen, a personalized apron from the Harts, and a Clump-O-Lump Bird from the Reece's. She has a few more gifts to open at my family's house either tonight or tomorrow.

She also turned 11 months old this week! She loves walking around holding on to our fingers. She got a few more eye teeth this week as well (and another little fever this morning). She got to meet her great Grandma Birdie yesterday, and they are having a lot of fun together.

47 Weeks

It's been a good week. We love Ruby so much. She's the best. She says a few words now, including "Hi" and "This" (although she says that for everything). And she just babbles all day long; it's adorable. We both really love this age. She's walking while she holds on to our fingers, but she almost can do it by herself. She's curious about everything, and crawls all around the house. She dances the moment music comes on, and is such a charmer. She loves everyone she meets. I think she knows what "No thank you" means. I had a bit of a cold this week, but thankfully Ruby hasn't gotten it.
That bath water is so interesting.
The latest bath photo. She sure loves the bath tub.
 Mohawk!
 Still chubby :)
 Mommy Ruby cuddle time.
 It snowed on Tuesday morning!
She's so cute when she sleeps.
With a beard like Daddy. She likes my Christmas Ducky as well.
Reading a book from the library.
 Playing the piano with Daddy.
Playing with her second cousin Jack.
Being gentle with her second cousin Sam.
Excited about her bath (plus a cute baby bum)!
Family coat from when my sister was a baby.
She loves music!

46 Weeks

Ruby's been feeling a lot better this week. We got her an amber teething necklace, and I think it's been helping. She's up to a grand total of 13 teeth now. Her sleep hasn't been good though. She wakes up in the middle of the night and doesn't want to go back to sleep. She just wants to be with us. She has also skipped her morning nap for a few days. We'll see if she actually is going to drop it, or if these days have been a strange schedule and if she goes back to normal naps. Her afternoon nap has been longer though, which is nice. Andy got a mandolin, and Ruby likes to play the egg shaker with him. :)
Here's Ruby reading to herself in the car. It was super cute. This is her big girl carseat facing backward, by the way. And it's in our new 2005 Honda Accord! (Thanks Pullens!!)
Cindy has a picture of Quin in the dryer too :)
Getting dressed to go get our Christmas tree.
 Hat hair!
I had to put a ponytail in her hair because of the hat hair. It's cute!
 Us with our Christmas tree.
 Andy unfurling our tree.
Ruby intently watching Andy unfurl the tree.
Ruby with the tree. She has pulled a few ornaments off, but for the most part she leaves it alone.
Also playing with my Christmas ducky. She likes it!
Chatting this afternoon while she crawled around. She's very chatty.
And here's the Pullen family picture we took a few weeks ago.

45 Weeks

This week has been a lot more tame after our big huge trip to California. We still had lots of fun though. On Sunday we went up to Portland to stay at the Nines hotel to celebrate our 6th anniversary. Grandma Patty came to watch Ruby so we could go out to dinner and dessert. It was a fun trip, except that Ruby had a fever for a few days and was fussy. After another trip to the doctor, it turns out it was probably her teeth again. On the good side, she slept all night on Sunday night and didn't wake up until 5am. But the nights since then have been normal (up every 2-4 hours). Oh well. :)
 Playing the drums with Pa.
Uh-oh!
Sitting on the bed at the hotel.
She even had her own little sleeping space.
 She loves mirrors.
Sick day watching White Christmas with mommy.
She had lots of fun with the cars and helicopters at the Dr's office.
Sleeping baby angel.

44 Weeks

Wow, it's been quite a week! Thanksgiving, Ruby turned 10 months old, and a fantastic trip to Disneyland. She did s great in the 45+ hours we spent in the car. We really have been blessed with the happiest baby ever. She even got a new molar in and has a cough still. She learned to crawl really well this week too. Here are lots of photos from our trip!
Ruby loved Thanksgiving dinner. Especially the turkey andMommy's green beans.
The Wetzig girls on our Thanksgiving walk.
 Cutie pie in the morning.
Just about to walk into Disneyland!
 Her first ride.
She loved the shows the best. We watched Fantasmic, World of Color, and the Fireworks.
Then she and Lia would crash every night on the way out of the park.
Looking at the ducks and the water with Mommy.
 Cute little princess.
Our little family in our favorite place.
 Riding the carousel with Daddy.
 She loves animals.
Her first taste of ice cream.
Walking down Main Street, USA. She giggles every time she gets to walk.
I love this picture with Uncle Randall.
 She's out!
Her first taste of lemon at Chili's on the way home. She kept going back for more :)

We've always looked forward to taking our children to Disneyland some day, and it was wonderful. Ruby's favorite rides were It's a Small World, The Little Mermaid, and Pirates of the Caribbean. She loved being entertained by her cousin Lia and got to ride next to her all the way down and back from LA. We had tons of fun and made lots of special memories with our Peach.
