Quarantine week 15: Summer

We are enjoying our summer, in spite of not being able to see people much. Some days when it is wet and rainy, the kids get bored. But they are really getting pretty good at coming up with fun ideas.
My sweet peas started blooming! This lovely champagne color is so fun.
Reid climbed all the way around the play house!
We went over to Joel and Dana's to play in their back yard, which was so fun. Baby Gerald is getting so big!
He had fun swinging and eating snap peas.
They just really love to dig in the dirt.
Ruby learned how to crochet a chain! This one ended up about 10 feet long. Next up, single crochet.
We went on a very long neighborhood walk past the school and into the Terra Linda neighborhood.
It was so fun and relaxing. There was a free book box, so the kids got some books and sat down on the sidewalk to read for a rest.
Little boys...
Wednesday was Frances's birthday so they had a little outdoor parade for her. We kept pushing Miles on his tractor real fast while he steered, and he was laughing so hard!
We also found out that our landlord is selling our house. :( Someone was coming to look at it in the evening, so we went out and sat in the back yard for a little while.
Miles had fallen asleep right before they came, so Andy just held him. They ended up not buying it, but now the maintenance people are here a lot fixing things. We just don't know what will happen with it and if we'll get to stay here.
The kids wanted to sleep in the same room, so they brought all of Reid's stuff over (including some of his clothes in the closet. Hah!). They slept pretty good together, and it was really cute.
Ruby and I started doing the Couch 2 5K program! It is super fun to go out jogging together. At the end of every jog she says she wants to quit and not do it anymore, but we're trying to learn some perseverance and persistence.
They always make such silly faces.
Del and Patty came over and we made pizza for them, which was fun.
More jogging.
He really wanted some watermelon so he got it out to eat and tried to cut it. He sure loves fruit.
I walked around the corner to this... Hahaha!
We grilled hot dogs and had an impromptu picnic outside.
It was very fun... until it ended with a broken bowl, ketchup all over, and lots of tears. :(
Reid's front tooth got SUPER wiggly...
...and then it came out at dinner when he was eating broccoli. We thought he swallowed it, but then I finally found it on the floor. He's pretty cute with a missing front tooth.
I left to go get something and came back to this huge living room fort!
We got new Kinetic sand. I've been reading Narnia to the kids, so Ruby made the White Witch's castle and those little dots are the kids traveling toward it.
She is just so pretty and precious.
