Sick... again... and the Sock Hop

We went to Ruby's school Sock Hop on Friday night as a family, and it was super fun! We have the cutest little school, we just love it. Ruby won the K-1st hula hoop contest, she was so excited. She's a natural!
On another note, we all caught a cold and the kids all have had diarrhea... not so good. Reid's got really bad and I had to take him to the ER since his doctor didn't have any appointments on Monday. But he's okay and they're still doing tests to see what's causing it.
Miles is sleeping all night again, thank goodness. We're working on weaning and we cut out the miscellaneous nursing this week. He's doing great. When he asks to nurse I just snuggle him and give him his milk, and that works. Otherwise it's just morning, nap, and bed time left. Andy does go in there with him at night if he does wake up, and he goes right back to sleep. :)
I got to volunteer at the Book Fair at school. Ruby was so cute and brought some money to buy a little pencil sharpener/eraser/cupcake.
When I got home Andy was taking the boys out for a hike. Haha!
 Train tracks!
 Reading to Munny.
He sure loves that thing and snuggles with it at night. He woke up yesterday yelling "Munny! Munny," because he couldn't find it, and not even "Mommy!" Haha
They've been making forts in Miles's room with the rocking chair. They all get along very well while making forts for the most part, so I greatly encourage it. :) Ruby has been quite difficult lately, which we're trying to figure out.
She had her 7 year check up! She's doing great aside from the sicknesses. She's on the taller and heavier end for her age, which she has always been. They love the huge fish tank at the doctor's new office. They have all kinds of different fish!
Miles was trying to see how tall he was after they measured Ruby. He's such a little copycat.
Reid built this train track all by himself! He and Ruby are both getting really good at it. Ruby likes doing fun bridges.
Shining the flashlight on his horseys.
I took the boys to a park super early in the morning before Costco was open... huge mistake. Everything was wet/frozen.
But we had fun anyway. :)
Reid has been working on Valentine's for his class. Hahaha He's actually doing very well with them.
They love helping with the laundry! I stripped their jammies off to put them in too. Haha!
 That little smirk.
All dressed up for the Sock Hop! She was so cute.
Winning the hula hoop competition! She kept going and going, it was easy.
 Her prize.
Then the bigger kids did it and she kept going and going during theirs too!
They were playing "getting married." It was so cute.
 Afternoon family walk.
 All bundled up.
Ruby read Miles his bed time stories, which was adorable.
 Snuggling! He's so sweet.
They got all set up to play Out Foxed on Sunday afternoon. We put Miles to nap, then Andy and I headed down to Silverton for a wedding while Del and Patty came to hang out with the kids. They had fun!
But on Monday Reid wasn't feeling well. His diarrhea got bad and had blood in it. :(
So Andy rushed home and I took Reid to the ER while Miles napped.
It was about 4 hours from when we left home to when we got back... but we had some serious fun playing.
We figured out all about how the hospital bed worked. Reid said, "Now I want to be a doctor so I can make these beds work all day." Hahaha!
He had an accident and I didn't have any other pants/undies for him, all I had were Miles's sweat pants. Haha! Poor Reid. Grandpa Del came and brought us some extra pants right as we were about to leave.
More fun with the bed! He was feeling pretty good aside from the accidents. They did some tests and sent him home, then we followed back up with his doctor today and are going to do more tests.
Another fort!

  1. All the train configurations are so clever!! So glad they have that to play with!! I can just see Reid playing with the hospital bed!! So inquisitive!! Did Ruby out-hula the older kids too? She is amazing. And that Miles....
    Love them all!
