Octobering

For the week of 10/1-10/7

Here are fun photos from the start of October! We jumped right in and did a pumpkin patch and a corn maze.
We've been waking Miles up from his nap so he'll go to sleep at night, but he often snuggles with me on the couch and falls back asleep. <3 I really don't mind.
We really love paper crafts! And tape.
He's very self sufficient, and really loves oranges. He has at least 4-5 a day.
Time for some Ticket to Ride! I'm pretty sure Reid ended up winning. He did quite well.
 Some eggs for Bunny.
Miles and I went to a pumpkin patch with my MOPs group while the big kids were in school.
He's so cute with his shaggy hair.
He carried this little pumpkin around for a long time...
...but he ultimately picked this really warty one. He said, "This is so funny!"
He doesn't quite get the face in the whole picture thing.
He got tired and laid down in the bark chips for a while. That was fun to get out of his clothes/diaper... Hah!
 Candyland!
Reid loves to help me cook. Making some potato soup. All three of our kids really love soup, which I love.
I volunteered to read to some Kindergartners and got to see Reid at the beginning of class. He's so cute. Mrs. Doughty really has them trained well, they all walked into class, put their backpacks and coats away, got their lunches into the lunch basket thing, and all sat down and started on their work before she even got there!!
Bible story time. The kids were so happy to have Andy back home.
We packed up and went to a corn maze on Sauvie Island on Saturday! It was wet and muddy, but fun.
At the top of the haystack.
Ruby led the way! We made it all the way through and didn't get lost too much. It was huge though and took probably 45 minutes!
Then we got some corn to share as a snack. Then we went on a hayride.
Cutie pie. she loved to wear my mom's old glasses until they broke.
Then later that afternoon, Miles decided to take a bite out of one of these mushrooms outside. It freaked us out!! I called poison control immediately, and they said watch him for 2 hours for hallucinating, and then 8 hours for gastrointestinal issues, and 24 hours for any other issues. Thankfully he was just fine. We're not sure he actually took a bite, the neighbor's friend said he did, but he kept saying he didn't, and no one else saw it. We were so thankful that he was okay.
Reid wanted to make "pudding" and told me all of the things to add in it... flour, butter, sugar, and some other stuff...
It was slightly edible mushy paste. Hah! We all had a bite or two.
 He draws the cutest pictures.
 My favorite.
He got out Reid's firefighter helmet.
Ruby made a snack for everyone. She is so cute.
