39 weeks

39 weeks! Wow! The baby's about the size of a small watermelon, and I'm feeling it! My belly's just huge now. I think it has dropped a bit this week for sure. At my midwife appointment everything looked good, except that the baby was posterior. :( I've been doing lots of hands and knees and pelvic rocks to get it to turn to anterior, so hopefully that has been helping. It's no fun though, because all I want to do is lounge around on the couch. I think I've gained about 35 pounds so far this time. With Ruby I gained 36 total, so I'm right about on track with that. I do feel like this baby will be a little bit bigger though. My feet have been swelling a tiny bit, but nothing bad. I think it's not as much as last time.

I've been having a lot of contractions. On Friday night they were coming every 10-20 minutes for a while during dinner, and then they went away. Then this morning at about 3:30 they started up again and kept waking me up until 6 when I got up. And then they went away again. This happened to me last time though for a few days, so it really could start at any time. My guess is either Tuesday or Thursday this week. We're getting so excited to meet our new little one. Ruby and I practiced all of the newborn cloth diapers on her "animal stuff" today. So cute.

Andy and I got to go out on a date yesterday. We dropped Ruby off at Grandma and Grandpa's and went to a movie and out to dinner. It was lovely to celebrate my birthday, 10 years together, Andy being done with Greek (he got an A by the way!!!), and the baby coming soon.

The worst thing about this week is that I've developed a terrible itchy rash on my face and fingers since last Sunday. It started around my ears and is now all over my face and especially on my ring finger. I think it might have to do with the large amount of Vitamin K I was taking to help control the bleeding after I give birth, so I stopped taking it. It hasn't gotten worse since then, but it's taking its time clearing up. My cold is so much better now, although my left sinus still hurts every once-in-a-while. I'm pretty much snot free. :) So glad. Andy's still coughing, but is also much better.

Changes this week: I think I've been waddling more. I'm so uncomfortable, it's hard to do anything. Andy's been so great about helping pick up toys and things from the floor. And rubbing my feet. :)

Here's a back view picture! So funny that I barely look pregnant from the back, same as last time.
