A visit to the dam

For the week of 10/2-10/8

It was a busy week! Some guys came and cut down the dead tree in our back yard, which the boys loved watching. Miles is climbing on/in everything and talking so much. Then my parents came for the weekend and we went to the Bonneville Dam and Fish Hatchery on Saturday, which was so fun!
Ruby's so cute waiting for the bus.
 It's coming down!
 Playing in the laundry basket.
When Ruby got home from school, the kids immediately made the stump into a table for a tea party.
Reid is so cute at preschool. He loves school so much and is doing really well.
I had a tomato sprout from the inside! So creepy and weird.
 Bed time. <3
And silly boys in the morning! Miles wakes up so happy.
This is the story of my life lately... trying to keep Miles from climbing and grabbing things. It's exhausting!
I taped a toilet paper roll to the dish washer and that occupied him at least for a little while.
Ruby wrote a birthday note for our neighbor.
And then drew a horse! :)
 The Night Night Train.
Ruby made a bedroom for Samantha, complete with baby books and the rocking chair nearby.
Grandpa gets to do the Night Night Train!
 Miles likes brushing his teeth.
We got up super early on Saturday morning and drove out the Bonneville Dam. This turbine was huge!
And so were the salmon! They were swimming up the fish ladder, which was pretty cool.
 Running with Grandpa.
 Feeding the trout.
 So fun!
This is a HUGE sturgeon that was 70 years old.
Checking out the different kinds of salmon.
Heading in to watch the fish hatchery, which was not operating on Saturday. :( But we at least got to see a video.
We got home and Ruby helped make everyone PB&J.
Andy set up the big projector screen so my dad could watch the Nebraska game!
Grandma brought glow sticks and we all played glow in the dark hide and seek!
They love riding the air mattress down in the mornings. Miles sleeps so much better in his own room, so my poor parents still have to sleep in the living room for now.
 Chore time!
 They love to help out.
She went out and was trying to hit the ball with her bat all by herself. It was cute. Then Andy went out to play with her.
 Faux hawk!
He really wanted to put Andy's backpack on.
Then they all put backpacks on and went to school.
I was the teacher, of course.
Dithan and Janet were visiting from Uganda (we met them there in 2006). Del and Patty brought them over for dinner. It was really great to see them! Dithan read the story of the Crested Crane from Uganda to them.
