A visit from Grandma and Grandpa!

My parents came up this week, and it was a lot of fun to see them! We spent Tuesday exploring Portland a little bit, which that was fun. It's always great to have them here. The kids loved it. My mom is so helpful with the kids and doing dishes. :) A nice, much needed break for this mama.
Reid has not been sleeping well at all this week, so I've been super tired. I've even taken a few little naps with Ruby, which has been very sweet. She loves it too.
Both of the kids and I have gotten a ton of owees lately. Ruby started with a black eye, and now has a scrape on her leg, blackberry scratches on her foot, she fell and hit her chin on the couch, and I think that's about it for her. Reid got a low grade fever all day on Thursday, I have no idea why, but he also cut his finger on something under the dishwasher, bit his lip, and fell off of the back step (from sitting) onto his face. It has been brutal! At least it hasn't been anything serious.
Giving Daddy a kiss while he leaves on his bike for work.
 Bye Daddy!
They have been playing together so well some of the time. It has been really nice.
 They both love reading books.
And they helped clean off the back door. It gets a lot of finger prints on it.
Looking through her kids Italian cookbook.
 He's resourceful.
Snuggles with this guy in the early morning are the best!
Helping me carry in the propane. She couldn't quite do it.
 Playing with Josephina.
These girls are great buddies. They don't understand each other, but it doesn't seem to matter to them.
Photo at church.
We park and ride this little shuttle bus to church every week. The kids love it!
Sleepy boy. We try to make it home before he falls asleep, but it doesn't always work.
"Gently" waking him up.
Helping Daddy clean out the refrigerator.
These guys love the drums!
We tried going out for a bike ride again this week, but we accidentally popped the tire.
He loves this! So do I. :)
We've been loving Magnolia park. It's the best!
He's trying to look through the tube. Not quite, buddy.
The way she's sitting! Haha. We went on a lovely walk when my parents got here.
And then we came home to these apple dumplings. They were pretty amazing.
Trying out our weights from Grandma.
On Tuesday we rode the tram down the hill. It was fun!
Such a pretty view of the city.
 I love this girl.
Then we rode the street car over the new bridge to the East side for some coffee.
Dinner out at McMenamins. Reid and Grandpa had fun playing disappearing knife.
 Cutie pie.
 She loves Grandma and Grandpa.
 Under dog!!
 Reading stories with Grandma.
And Grandma brought them these colors, which are fun!
 Sliding upside-down.
Cleaning off the wall. Any time Reid gets a kleenex or wipe, he wipes everything. He loves to do what we do.
His owie on his forehead and nose! Poor guy.
 Story time.
Me and my babies.
Puzzle time! She's getting pretty good.
We walked to the end of the street and Ruby rode her bike. She had a ton of fun.
She did fall once and scraped her leg a little bit. Then she put on her own bandaids when we got home. She may have overdone it a little bit.
Poor sick baby. I have no idea why he got a fever, but he's feeling much better now.
