Disneyland Day 1

Dec 14, our first day!! We spent the day in Disneyland park and had such an amazing time. The kids got up super early (of course), so we got to the gate before our Magic Morning Hour opening at 7. :)
Soooooo excited!!!
Reid's first time walking down Main St. Last time he was a baby.
We headed straight to Fantasyland through the castle. First up... the Carousel!
Then we rode Snow White, and then we decided to get in line for Peter Pan because it kept getting longer and longer. While we waited, we took each kid over to ride Dumbo one at a time. Andy took Ruby and Reid, and I took Miles.
It was a little drizzly, but us Oregonians hardly even noticed.
We did Peter Pan, and all the kids loved it!!!
Making wishes in Snow White's wishing well. We really took things slow and did fun little stuff all day long.
Then we headed to Tomorrowland and Andy took the big kids on Star Tours while Miles and I wandered around the gift shop.
He found a light saber and kept sneaking around saying, "Where is Darth Vader?" with a very serious look.
 Light saber battle!
Then I got to take the big kids on Star Tours, they loved it so much.
 First visit!!!
After that I took the big kids on Space Mountain. You can't see what it's like, so they both went on willingly... but poor little Reid was absolutely terrified the whole time. It was so sad!
While we did that, Andy and Miles found a little birdie and followed it all around.
Ruby absolutely loved Space Mountain!! She wanted to go again right after with Andy.
Then on to Buzz Lightyear!! It was so fun. Definitely one of the boys' favorites.
We headed up to It's a Small World.
After that we walked up to Toon Town. The kids loved it! We wandered around for a while and played on all of the things...
Then since we were there and the wait wasn't too long, we decided to go in and meet Mickey.
I'm so glad we did at that point, I'm not sure we would have come back for it. It was nice to rest for a while when we waited in line, and then the kids just loved seeing Mickey.
Especially Miles! He just kept staring up at him and hugging him, and Mickey gave him kisses on his head. It was the sweetest!
Traditional Mickey family photo.
We decided to go on Gadget's Go Coaster. It took some convincing for Reid, but he finally decided to go and had a lot of fun. Miles even got to go! Afterward he said, "We went up and up, and then we fell."

Lunch time! We rode the train around the park and ate our packed lunch on it, which really worked out perfectly. I had ordered groceries to be delivered to our hotel, so we had all lunches, yogurts, and lots of snacks and things. It saved us so much money!!!
We rode on the Teacups, then we walked over to Adventureland. They were doing the parade so we stopped to watch for a little bit. There were tons and tons of people there, so I was holding up both boys while Andy held up Ruby. Hah!
Miles got super sleepy on Andy's back and took a little nap. We went into the Tiki Room and he woke right up and loved it!
We also went up Tarzan's Treehouse which the kids loved too. I'm pretty sure we did that one about 5 times on our trip.
Everyone's getting tired! We wandered around Frontierland.
 And shot the rifles.
Then back to the treehouse while we waited for our dinner reservation. I think we went on Pirates of the Caribbean at that point too. Reid really didn't like the drop parts.
Yummy dinner! We also got a Monte Cristo to share for dessert. You can't go to Disneyland and not get one, it's that good.
The castle was all lit up for Christmas and was gorgeous!
We told each kid they could have $25 to spend on a toy plus whatever money they already had. Reid had found this Buzz Lightyear grabber at the very beginning of the day and kept tasking all day if he could go back and get it. So that's the last thing we did that night before heading back at the hotel to crash.
Boy, what a fun day in Disneyland. It's so different to go with kids. And so magical just the same.
