Ruby turns 8!

For the week of 1/21-1/27

Our sweet little Ruby turned 8!!! She is such a special treasure. She has such a strong personality, and when she chooses to use that for good, amazing things happen. We love her so much.
We love when new magazines come in the mail!
Reid made this cute poster for Ruby.
While the big kids were at school, Miles and I went to the Oregon Gymnastics Academy with our MOPs group!
It was so, so fun!! He loved the trampolines.
He went from one thing to another to another to another the whole time.
 Foam pit!
He loves playing with his friend Junie.
 Hula hoop!
He still talks about the balance beam. We really had such a great time!
Meanwhile, Ruby played games at school with her friends.
When we got home, we build this book case for Ruby's birthday while she was still at school. :)
Ruby regularly wants us to have "fancy dinner." Complete with place cards and a centerpiece.
Ruby decided to go through my cookbooks and flag recipes she would like to try. She must be my girl. <3
 Hot Wheels time!
 Helping Mommy clean.
He had his feet in the sink, and then realized he could see his face in the mirror. Hah!
She fell asleep like this! So cute.
Ruby loves to take selfies lately.
She does a great job in her Passport Club learning geography.
This is how Reid brings all of his papers home from school. He folds them all because he doesn't think they will fit in his backpack unfolded. Haha
He writes the cutest books. "I went to laser tag with my dad!"
This is how he eats his "pasketti."
On Saturday we went down to a lovely wine tasting room and farm for Joel and Dana's baby shower! It was so fun to see cousins and second cousins.
Then Mom, Dad, Cindy, Lia, and Alera came back up to our house.
That night we had Ruby's birthday party!
He put on his own bib. Hah!
 Happy girl!
 Opening gifts.
 She got a bike basket...
And then went outside and found a bike!! She was so excited.
 Girly cousins. <3
 Grandma helped with bed time.
Cindy and the girls slept in the living room.
Ruby woke up on her birthday morning and we had French toast! Yum!
Then went and found some of her gifts in her bedroom...
Her book case and new pink chair.
Then we all headed to church. The ball pit was a big hit!
 Ruby organized her book case.
Saying goodbye! They all left after lunch.
Then we had our home community that afternoon, and we made Ruby a chocolate mirror glaze cake to celebrate.
 It was so delicious!
We have lots of older girls in our home community, they are all so cute together. Then most of the boys are younger, down to age 2.
 More gifts at dinner.
She loves her new pink hooded sweater. And we had some pizza with a candle.
This is how he eats apples. Hah!
On Monday the kids didn't have school, so I brought them down to church to ride bikes in the gym!
 It was so fun!
We played lots of fun games and ran all around.
 Reid got upset.
But we really did have fun. Andy came and played for a while too.
Then I left Reid with Andy for the rest of the day and took the other two kids home. Reid had fun hooking this old computer up. He actually got it to work! He's so smart.
I let Ruby drive down our street from the mail box.
 Painting time!
Followed by the bath, of course.
