I sure love these two kids of mine. We have lots of fun together. I'm both really looking forward to Ruby starting preschool this fall and kind of sad because I'll miss having so much time with her. She's going to LOVE it though, and I know she'll do really well getting so much social time in. She sure loves people.
Reid has been SO funny. Everything he says is hilarious. He keeps us all laughing every day. He's been sleeping really well, getting up about once a night. But that's much better than he used to be!
Ruby made these two Lego guy/girl and their houses. Apparently the are engaged.
I can get out the Lego's and these guys are entertained for a long time! They love building, creating, making popcorn with them, etc.
Ruby and I often play games while Reid is still asleep in the afternoons. She takes naps about two days on, two days off now.
Post nap sweaty hair. He LOVES to cuddle after he wakes up.
We made yummy owl snacks. The kids loved it.
We had a fun week. Saturday dawned sunny and beautiful, so we headed to the park to take some maternity/family photos! It was really fun. And the kids got to play at the playground for a little while too.
Reid is pretty much potty trained. He has even started to tell us when he has to go, especially poop! He does have accidents sometimes still, but over all he's doing great. :) I told him, "Reid, you're potty trained!" Then Ruby said, "No Mom, he's not. He still wears a diaper for nap and bed time." Then Reid, who was going potty said, "I AM potty trained!!" He's determined.
Working out together! They really love joining me.
Reid wanted to get up on Ruby's bed while she was at preschool.
Ruby was playing princess and wanted Reid to be the prince and to propose to her. It was so cute.
Then she kissed his hand.
Our photo shoot in the park! It was fun.
Andy acted as photographer.
And then we had Ruby take a few pictures of us. …
Ruby's about to finish up preschool this week. She has had such a fun year, we are sad to see it come to an end. She had such excellent teachers and learned so much! She is reading really well now, and is an extremely smart girl. She loves making new friends everywhere we go. She is also very helpful with the baby, and always asks if he's awake. When he is she goes right up to him and says "Miles!" in a sing-songy little voice. And then she says how cute he is. She actually still takes naps regularly.
Reid, on the other hand, has never been a good sleeper. He has just about given up napping, which we're all not thrilled about. Mama needs an afternoon break! I have been napping with Miles, but that might have to stop because of the big kids. Oh well.
Speaking of Miles, he's 12lbs 5.5oz already! Such a big boy. I'll have to get out his 6 month clothes. He hasn't been sleeping great, which is not fun. But we occasionally get a 3 hour stretch in. And And…
